Hey all.
Ok so i first read up about lucid dreams a couple weeks ago. I started doing Reality Checks at least a few times a day, but usually every time i could remember to.
My RC's were:
-Trying to put finger through palm
-Trying to breathe with fingers over nostrils
-Looking at digital devices, particularly my phone
Note: On my phone background, i put a cool text saying: "Are you dreaming?" So every time i looked at my phone it reminded me to do a RC. <-- Highly recommended
Every night i tried WILD (unsuccessfully, though very relaxing).
Last night, after about 6 hours of sleep, a loud noise woke me, and i immediately went back to sleep. I found myself in a vivid dream, and after some time did the first 2 RC. They were inconclusive (which I shouldve realised meant i was dreaming), but then i looked at my phone and it looked really strange.
At this point i said "WOOHOO IM DREAMING!".
I started immediately spinning and yelling "Increase Lucidity!" This worked and i stayed in the dream, and transfered myself to a beach that i was thinking about.
I started to run (about 50X faster than normal), and then took off flying. I orbitted Earth, then flew to Mars, and woke up soon after.
Was Legen.... Wait for it.... DARY!
Tips:
-Keep a dream journal
-Do the phone thing, and regular RC
-Have a plan of what you will do when you first LD
One extra technique i am now going to adopt is (a couple times a day) retracing my steps mentally to see how i got to where i am, and whether the steps follow logically.
Good luck everyone and have fun.
