I became lucid a few nights ago, and I flew up into the air. I flew up into blackness, and the dreamworld vanished. It was as if I was in a region of space with no light source, or in a cave cut off from the outside world, or in a void. I didn't want to try opening my eyes, for fear of waking up. The dream was still interesting, I still had the sensation of flying, and I focused on that. Then I remembered I wanted to swim with a whale, so I flew back down and felt like I was swimming, but I still saw nothing whatsoever.

I know it's not a good idea to close your eyes while lucid, but what if the world is already black? Do you try to open your eyes, or what?
The new evolutionary paradigm will give us the human traits of truth, of loyalty, of justice, of freedom. These will be the manifestations of the new evolution. And that is what we would hope to see from this. That would be nice.

Do the spinning technique and imagine some scenario then the blackness will probably disappear and you can open your eyes and explore your enviroment freely again. I hope I answered your question.
Currently practicing WILD. I quote Kaniaz who said it best: "The point of WILD is to piss me off". Though, I have not given up, far from it.

That wasnt his question. Im sure he knows how to change the dream scene, and he didnt say he wanted it changed anyway. He said he enjoyed the scene. His question was if anyone opened their eyes in a lightless dream.

Now, I personally can't answer due to no lucid, but I figured I should clear that up

I think that since you still had the sensation of movement yet no visualization, you should definitely try spinning. Maybe next time just risk it and open your eyes. Shrug.

This happens during a lot of my lucids. And sorry if my explanation is hard to read; it's hard to word right, but not too hard to pull off after you do it once or twice.

If you wait around in the blackness and keep yourself occupied, the dream will usually come back. I find it easier to sit in one spot and focus on one object, or the entire scene around you.

If you still have a pretty good picture of where you were before sight faded out, sit still and picture it in your mind for a while. Don't actually look around in the dream, just imagine yourself looking around and what you would see. After a while what you are imagining you are seeing should become what you are seeing in the dream, kind of like how dreams take form during a WILD (for me, at least). Then you can go about your business.

If you don't have a good picture or you change scenes, find something to feel and try to imagine that thing. Once you are past imagining that you are seeing it and actually seeing it, you usually can see the rest of the dream too.

Spinning would probably work, but you might lose the scene you were in. If you don't care about that, it would probably be easier that what I just said.

But whatever you do, don't try to open your eyes. You more than likely will wake up. Unless you get tired of waiting for the dream to come back; then go right ahead

What's dangerous about opening your dream eyes? You can wake yourself up if you try to open your real eyes, but your real eyes won't open if you try to open just your dream eyes. I don't think you would accidentally open the wrong eyes because they feel completely different.
