      more bwgen

i was recently searching the forum when i found a very interesting topic about a brainwave generator, i dled it and started to try using it. im not really sure what supposed to be happening. i also found that evs comments were along the lines of that it helped with his lucid dreaming somehow and i was just wondering what he did to achieve this

I used the LD test preset mainly - you can find it at bwgen.com's preset library.

You should contact seeker for the app that helps you add custom presets...
I never had much succes with BWgen, but that might just be because I have a hard time sleeping with my computer on because the fan is pretty loud.

Just downloaded it, looks pretty cool... where do I find some known-to-work lucid dreaming presets?

do you have to use headphones or if you play it on your 2 speakers will it work?

I have Soundblaster Audiology 2 with 7.1 surround.

I guess you have to use headphones because I read something about mixing the signals is bad...

I just burned me a CD with 60 minutes of the lucid dreaming output... let's see if this works

You have to use the headphones or beat synthesis will occur outside, instead of inside your head as it should.

It's been a while since I messed with it. I mainly used the relaxation presets to meditate and plant suggestions to myself that I would become lucid more often.

Well that sucked. I tried to fall asleep to it but it seemed impossible, after about 30-40 minutes I couldn't take it anymore and had to take the headphones off.

i think you should have the sound level up to where its constantly irritating you

i think it would be best to have it so you can hear it but its in the background and so that you can tune it out but your brain still picks up on it

not sure though because i havent tried them yet but im going to tonight

      how is wilmington?

im in Raleigh and might be moving to wilmington if i get into UNC-W
