Dream Guides...

In the few lucids, I have had... I never take the time to find a dream guide. Plus, even if I could remember, I wouldn't know were to start. So I have a few questions I'd like to ask about them...

* Do you just stumble upon them, or do you create them?
* Do they look like you want them to be, or does your mind create their looks independently?
* Can you call them to you, or do you have to go to them?
* What are they capable of?
* What can you do to them?
* Can you find them in non-lucid dreams?
* Can you order them around?

Sorry for the amount of questions, but my knowledge on the subject is VERY limited...

It's your dream. You can do whatever you want, and everyone is different. I'm pretty sure if you really wanted a dream guide you could get one. ;)

ya... but how do you go about making one?

Just.... maybe say "When I turn around my dream guide will be standing there." Or something like that. Use your imagination.

Hmm... Make it someone or something you see as knowledgeable. Someone you can respect and value the opinion of. That sounds about right to me.

I dunno, it's up to you really. Whichever you think would be the best for you.

Or you could have it be all of them, like all shape-shifty and stuff depending on the situation.

Don't have a person who you would be too busy watching, not listening to...

I really have no idea how you would go about seeing your dream guide, somehow willing them behind you seems too trivial.
Maybe some mystical weirdo will approach you and say they're your DG. Tell them to prove it somehow (frown, maybe that wont work, considering its your subconciense anyway....)
Im yet to see my DG.

If dreaming is all in the head, what's the point of a dreamguide that you "create"? If they are a creation of the subconscious, they can't tell you anything that you don't already know..

..but if LD were the gateway to "other dimensions", and DCs/DGs were not the creation of the subconscious, that might be different, I suppose.

Lets be honest dream guides should be demoted to the beyond dreaming section
they are just like DCs that you allow to be intelligent
they are the same as DCs, elements of your subconcious.

Trouble is, Imran, that many people here report that their DCs/DGs often try to convince the LDer that they are "real", which certainly doesn't fit in with these LDers mindset that dreaming is all in the subconscious, and controlled by the dreamer.

It's an interesting anomaly.

subconciously they would like for what thwy are expierecing to be real

Well, it's a theory, but it's not held out by many of these LDers who aver that the subconscious controls LD, by their own admissions.

When you learn LD, you'll be able to test this prognosis by asking your DCs the same question, and see what answer you get.

To answer all your questions from top to bottom.. I had stumbled across mine in a Lucid Dream..even though she had told me she had tried to contact me a year prior to our meeting. I have had 90 LD in 15th months and my DG does not look anything like I imagined...she looks 10X better...and no, my mind did not create my DG......I have yet to call my DG to me, I had to go to Her, or in one LD i had she appeared right infront of me and she told me with TELEPATHY that i was dreaming.

What are they capable of. See i've read alot of replies that people have put on, and they just think that DG's are like any other DC's...now if you were to have read my Tutorials on finding your DG and what to do about it when you have, then you'd understand more about DG's...DG's know more about you, then you know yourself...why do u think the world GUIDE is in their name??? They come to you in your DREAMS to GUIDE YOU, hence the name DREAMGUIDE..They give you wisdom, and answers questions that you have for them.....

What can I do to them? Well i havent really done anything to her..people have asked me if i would ever have sex with her? No i would not, I have too much respect for my DG to see her in that way.

She had called upon me one time in a non lucid dream..there were a group of guys hitting on her--which i had yet to know she would later be my DG--and i went up to her and she had walked away with me and whispered clear as day in my ear... "I already know who you are, I just dont want them to know, that i know you" That dream took place a year prior to me meeting my DG---that connects with the part where she said she tried contacting me..

I have yet to try to order them around...I'd advice you read my 2 tutorials on Dreamguides if you wanna know more information about them, and also, do some research..because DG's are 10X different then the normal DC..and honestly...your mind cant create them...

I'm fairly certain your mind creates them. That doesn't mean they can't be amazing, smart, and beautiful, though.

I have a couple of theories of what they are, ranging from construct from your mind to extra-dimentional entities, but why not ask them exactly what they are?

Because that would not be accurate depending on what they really are. It's a bit of a paradox.

If they really are extra-dimensional entities, then of course they will probably say they are. No problems here.

But, on the other hand, if they are creations of our subconscious minds, they just might say they are extra-dimensional entities for no other reason than we would like them to be, or that we expect them to be.

what if you dont want them to be, and they say thay are? they probably would be then (unless oyu thought about ti to hard).

if you dont really know, then they should tell the truth if they arn't dream beings, or even if they are, but we will just have to see

There's no way to really know. I wish there was though.

I was under the impression that they were just the face you put on your sub-consious during your dream...

That's what I tend to be leaning towards at this point. But what can I say- I'm very open-minded. :P
