Is it possible to fall in love with a DC and develop a relatioship in a Lucid dream? Sounds odd but cool...:)
I think I'm falling inlove with a DC but that DC is a girl I like IRL, so I guess that's the reason why. But what if you meet somebody you've never seen before IRL like your Dream Guide, is it possible to fall in love with it? :P
Please share your thoughts.
I think it is probably possible. Sometimes, when I have dreams.. or LDs.. or whatever, I'll have a really hot guy (like my ex :? ) in my dream.. and sometimes if we kiss or do .. "romantic" .. stuff in my dream, i'll probably have a crush on them for a week. Like if they're just in my dream.. and we dont do that kind of things, its ok.. but b/c of that dream i have to put up with unwanted feelings for a while, and its really annoying because SOMETIMES THEY WONT GO AWAY!!! aaagh.. but try not to fall in love with people who dont exist only in your dreams.. b/c you cant have them in real life.. unless of course you dream forever and ever till you die.. then i spose its ok... heh

I'm the same way. DC's that I get "intimate" with are usually real people, and after I wake up I have feelings for whomever the person was in the dream for a little bit after that... amazing, the things dreams can do to us, no?Quote:

Well, some people think that you are a whole being, and all divisions in your mind are created by you.
People like me, however, believe that you are a manifistation of the divisions in your head. Meh, doesn't make a TON of sense, but anyway, if you think of it my way, falling in love with a DC seems possible. Possibly not too healthy, but you get it.
And yeah, i HATE dreaming about people I know and having sex with them.
Once I had that dream about my friend Chris...ever since then I've been thinking about him in that way.
Dont just fall in love, take advantage of them - thats what I do, you created them so you can do whatever you want with them. Many a time I think I am a porn star and have had 4 or 5 DC's and wake up soken!! :evil:

It seems like it could cripple RL relationships by setting unrealistic standards for the people DC's are based upon, since those people weren't created by your mind.

Would be pretty wierd to get a cruch on somebody that exist IRL. A love that you have developed in a dream now you got yourself into big trouble... How crazy is that!?! I hate unrequited love, have too much experience of that I'm afraid :(.
I'd like more reseach on this subject because it's really interesting. Developing feelings for a DC that doesn't actually exist... It's like falling in love with a cartoon but even worse :P
what about shared dreaming and falling in love with a WRL person there?

I suppose it is in a normal dream, you're not aware what's going on isn't real. In a lucid dream though, I don't really think so. Knowing he/she isn't real would just create a sor of mental block I think.

Well, he has faults. He's not "perfect", but since he lives in my head I'd say he's probably as perfect as I'd ever want. :]

Put it this way, if the love is so consuming that its all you think about and you say to youself, "I want to sleep forever and never wake up" etc
Then it might not be a good thing. But if you just look forward to seeing him and go about your day normal, then i'd say its fine.
