Thats why it helps not thinking of them... Like one at a time. Just remember what you want to try the most and then work your way down from there. You'll have more than one lucid dream... A LOT more.
I haven't had one, at least that I can remember, but I know the first things I want to do would be the tasks of the month. Probably talk so some DCs, find my dream guide, *cough* other things ;)
So, yeah, I get excited, but I don't lose sleep, merely because I know the more time I waste means the longer I have to wait to go lucid :)
Normally I go to bed anticipating an LD. If I lay off the booze, I have 2-3 very vivid dreams a night. And if I if I follow through on the "when you wake up around 3-4am, go get a drink, take a wiz, etc" then after that is when I most likely become lucid.
Anticipation of lucidity makes it easier for me to become lucid, I've found. :) My biggest problem is waking upon becoming lucid. most lucid dreams I have only last a few seconds, but every now and then I'll have a good 10-20 minute one (seems like the less control I exert the longer it lasts).
As far as the most memorable LD.. :) Well... it involved two girls (One that I willed into the dream and somehow my wife also appeared, so I just went with it). One was hands and knees on the floor. The other was laying on top of her (belly to back), kinda like stacked sawhorses... lol. from there, you can guess what happened.. lol! I smiled for 2 weeks after that dream... (smiling again now thinking about it).
If you're in an LD, try NOT to get excited. I find that most often if I realise I'm dreaming, if I get massivly excited and start shouting and rejoicing, the the dream ends and I wake up. My best LD was when I stayed really calm and slowly reshaped everything in the dream.
You know, four years into lucid dreaming, the possibilities still excite me. Admittedly when I have a dry spell I'll grow tied of it all, but there's so much that can be done that I always come back.
Now the mast exciting thing I've done, for me at least, is havinging a conversation with myself, it was odd to see my reactions, but it was esactly how I usually am in real life. I think more than anything, lucid dreaming has hellped build me as a person.
And yes... when I started I was so excited I couldn't sleep. :P
