I did some google searching on this but nothing came up.
What would it mean if they had similiar dreams? It seems it'd be most likely related to shared experiences and shared backgrounds, cultureal expectations, etc more so than shared genes.
But I'd love to be proven wrong.
I'm an identical twin, and we haven't had any shared experiences so far.
It would be killer though. :P
My sister and I are not twins but we once shared an incredibly close twin type bond. We'd share our dreams and once in a great while our dream scenes seemed to merge. I don't think we both had and entire dream 'together' though. Only a scene or two.
I still dream of her, have had a couple of lucid dreams where I'm trying to convince her that we're in my dream together. She never believes me. I call her after these dreams and chat to her, hoping she'll mention having had a dream about me. So far she hasn't. Sadly, she doesn't pay much any attention to her dreams anymore so I'll never know if that bond still exists.
If she and i shared that connection, I'm thinking some twins would have an even stronger connection and greater chance to dream share or have parallel dreams.
Im an identicle twin, and me and my brother see alot of similar stuff in our dreams. It seems as we grow older we have less similar dreams, probably because we are not always together. When we were young though our dreams were very similar. I can recall an instance where we described the exact same dream on the same night. My brother and I also have very strange, and abstract dreams compared to other people.
I am shocked though of all the similar experiences, and the similar choices that we make. It really makes me wonder how much free will people really have...
