i know everybody has the occasional, if not frequent problem of being in some awkward position while sleeping (laying on your arms, or bending your legs weird) that end up waking them up. has anybody discovered the perfect position to lay in bed?!

I read somewhere that laying on your back is more condusive for lucid dreams
Ya but when I lie on my back it is really hard to get to sleep...
Haha, Tim when you made this post get labeled... "positions" haha I didn't think it had anything to do with dreaming... I was intrigued. . .
I lie on my back as well, a good bed is also KEY!
Waterbeds are the bomb especially if it has the foam support system in it... MEdiflow makes a good watermatress mmmm Thats my opinion, anyone else reccomend any matresses or bed typed
sorry if this is not the kind of "positions" you thought of haha... as for the mattress thing, i find it easier to sleep on a couch than my bed, and sometimes i sleep on the floor just for the hell of it.
i sleep on my sides.
usually i lie on one side for twenty minutes, then roll onto my back, then the other side, then my stomach, blah blah blah... basically i spin around and around until i fall asleep
ROFL! i just now saw that...Quote:

oh yeah, sometimes i lay on my stomach but never my back
if i stay in one position for too long it gets uncomfortable and i have to change
I just do the head switch. I lie on my stomach pretty much always and then switch my head from left to right every once in a while. It's kind of weird how we like talking about positions...
...that we sleep in.
yeah, i'm the same way when i lay in that position..
..while sleeping..
I do the same thing when i sleep lie on my front and switch head postioins. I got to admit, "positions" is what brought me to this 1. lol
I wonder
jeez louise, maybe i should change the name of this thread (if thats possible, i dont know)
nope....sorry....
Flat on the back with right hand over the left on the chest or solar plexus... I noticed that I have more complete mobility in my dreams when I am in this position for some reason. I think it has to do with blood flow, breathing, and circulation...
I love how everyone is a pervert deep down...
i recommend doggie style, oh wait a minute what was the topic....I have a really nice pillow-topped matress and I love it (too much) I think the couch is really comfortable too cause you have something soft against your back, kinda like a sleep taco...I'm a pervert on the surface....
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! ROFL!Quote:

Im a stomach man myself, yet sometimes I tend to wake up on the floor, and on occasion I have found myself at the wrong end of the bed. Im a messy sleeper.

I sleep on my back or my sides. Or on whoever happens to be beside me, which has been NO ONE for the past couple of years. *sigh*
<-----pathetic :(
Oh yeah... I forgot to say how I sleep on my sides... usually I have to have one arm under my head and pillow to fall asleep.
...doggie style is good... oh... sorry...
Aww, there there, I feel your pain.Quote:

Positions.. heh.. I tend to sleep completely still and not move whatosever. This has caused much pain when waking up when in bad positions, lol.
Once at a party, I slept on my arms only, no pillow. I woke up and I realised throughout the entire night I had cut off all circulation to my arm. I couldn't even feel my arm, it felt like it was not even attached to me. Until I tried to move it, which caused the circulation to flow again. Ahh, that's a crazy feeling.
Otherwise, just sleeping on my back or side, etc. Is fine. I havn't ever really found a "perfect" sleeping position because after practically loosing my arm, any position is fine with me! lol
Typically though, our most comfortable sleeping positions are those we were in most as children. I myself commonly slept on my stomach as my mother would massage my back till I fell asleep. To this day, I still very commonly sleep on my stomach, as it seems to be the most comfortable position for me.

I normally sleep on my sides on my arms (even though I have 6 or 7 pillows :P ), but for some reason, I feel like if I fall asleep on it, it'll fall off by morning.
