For a few weeks now one of my LD goals was to pass through a mirror just to see what was on the otherside. I have heard of people doing this and sounds really cool. I had han LD today during a nap in which I found a mirror, but it was only about 2ft. by 2 ft. and very blurry (my vision was clear in the LD, but the mirror was blurry). Has anybody had any experiences travelling through a blurry mirrors? was there a difference in passing through a blurry one as opposed to a clear one? When I think about passing through a mirror, I picture a full body sized mirror which has a clear reflection of me. I know everybody's experiences will be different because it is all in our own minds, but I am just curious.

Careful about the clear reflection, you might have a collision. I know I would. Although, I could probably destroy my duplicate and get past. 8)
Now, just exploring would be very hard for me. I would probably think back to "Through the looking glass" every step of the way to make my surroundings. At least at first, I love chess and would probably go off on a tangent.

Blurry mirrors are one of my main Lucid triggers. I don't know if I have ever seen a clear mirror in a Lucid Dream before. I have only reached into a mirror, I haven't actually stepped through yet.
*I will try

I've never seen a mirror!

ahh..dont let the size stop you! put your face up against the computer screen! >:/ and the only thing in your vision is computer screen
now in dreams if you were to do this you could easily go through the computer screen, becuase it is easy to fool your own dream logic into thinking if it fits your entire field of vision, you fit through it. Ive flewn through a key-hole like this
Ive personally never have gone through a mirror, but mine are never clear. should be interesting! let us know the results when you do it.

thanks for all the responses! I have seen a clear mirror in a non lucid before but didn't go through it.
juroara- That is an excellent point and now that I think about it I have gone through some spaces I shouldn't have been able to just because it was all I could see.

Hi,
Passing through mirrors happens to be one of my favourite LD things! I got the idea from a Native American dream technique where you are supposed to project yourself into your reflection (in a mirror, or a body of water) and then your reflection can go off into the 5th dimension in search of dream teachers.
I've done lots of staring at my reflection (had my eyes change colour and start glowing once, which was cool...) but found that if I fly through the mirror (doesn't matter what size - first one I managed was a car wing mirror) it changes scene. Sometimes I will ask to go somewhere, or find someone, and sometimes I will just jump through and see where I end up.
It usually works well, and often I see/feel the atoms of the mirror deforming around me as I pass through. It always goes dark for a second or so and then I am somewhere new. Flying through glass has a similar effect for me, so if I become lucid in a building I tend to throw myself through the nearest window...
Sometimes I get bounced back, but this tends to happen if there's a moment of doubt about not being able to breathe with a mirror wrapped round my face! Also, if I'm on a quest for another dimension I usually ask for protection.
I once asked to be taken to face my worst fear - and ended up in a grimey cafe full of hells angels - neat sub-conscious joke!
I don't think I've seen any blurry mirrors, but have landed in the odd muddy puddle  and got wet rather than enlightened!

The vision when I look into a mirror is always perfect, it's the shape of my face that looks like shjt.
In one dream though, I saw my reflection in the window from a shop. The shop was closed and it was dark inside. I couldn't see everything clearly, but I managed to jump through and it worked just like a normal mirror (I ended up somewhere in the middle of nowhere).
