i dont really want to burst your bubble, but probably not, for me getting my first lucid dream was the easy part, getting the ones after were the harder ones, but different people have it different ways, if you are having a hard time having your first Lucid dream, when you have the first one the others might come naturally...probably not, but possibly...
To be honest, it differs from person to person. Not every one's the same, also it depends on how hard you try to be lucid.
I would say that on average it would be easier because if you have already had a lucid, then you will have enough confidence and should have another one.
No way, there are plenty out there who have as much and more difficulty as you. Don't worry so much, start a simple LD routine through the day, and think about it before bed. Writing your dreams down and imagining yourself back in them can help too.
This community is for you, ask questions and you WILL progress and eventually overcome obstacles and frustration if you try :) .
Yes, it is MUCH easier to get a LD once you had your first LD. Why? Because you know that LDs are real, you know what they feel like and most likely you would have more motivation to try different techniques and stuff...
Trying to have a LD/WILD without knowing what it feels like is like trying to find a switch on the wall in total darkness - you dont know which wall the switch is on and how it feels like... But once you flip the switch it is easier to find it the second time...
Hoi, Nederlander! :D
Ik denk wel dat je kunt gemakkelijker lucid worden, toen je lucid in het verleden geweest bent.
(please excuse my poor Dutch ><)
But I would think that like any skill, having done it once before would make you slightly more likely to pull it off again next time around. I tried shooting clay pidgeons about a year ago (didn't do too well that time), and the next time I tried it, I shot each one everytime.
Maybe some people are like that with lucid dreaming as well - they do it once and then it comes to them perhaps more naturally the second time around.
I've yet to get lucid, but hopefully it'll become easier once I've done it the first time.
For me, getting my first true LD made all the rest come easily. It increased my self confidence and belief that I could do it, and afterwards, they just started pouring in. I think like NeAvO said, it differs from person to person.
Just take it easy and don't try too hard, keep yourself confident, and you shouldn't have any trouble having more.
I personaly found that after the first LD things went better and better! It took me over a half year to get my first LD while I was highly motivated and spent at least one hour a day reading about it, and I did 20 RC each day... So I know exactly how you feel, it was frustrating at times. But you have to bite through it, becuase after the first time my enthuasiasm went through the roof and I started doing even more reality checks! ;) Before I knew it I had more LD's in short time and all the hard work started to pay off. Now after a year I have at least one each week without doing any RC anymore which is really cool.
Just hang in there. LDing doesnt come easy for everyone but if you want it enough (and you can keep the feeling of wanting it long enough) I am sure youll be able to do it.
Greetings from the Netherlands ;)
lol! i think you mean: ik denk wel dat je gemakkelijker lucid kan worden als je vroeger al lucid geweest bent :P if youre english or etc i think your dutch is really good!
but now to the another subject or more a blockade and thats school im going late to bed like 12:00 midnight and wake up 7:00
maybe thats why i dont have any lucids yet because im so busy with school
That could be a big issue, I think it's the same with me, when my school life becomes full of work and test prep or projects, my LD rates plummet. And sure, I mope about the lack of LDs, but I know that when school's not on my agenda, I have them more often so that's just something that helps me get along with the dry spells. That and the whole point, to me, of dreams in general is to have fun and do things that you could never do IRL.
School's a major hinder on some people when it comes to obtaining LDs since it can cause stress, which is a main cause as to why some people can't LD.
Gee, you wake up at 7:00? That's pretty lucky of you, I haven't woken up that late since Middle School, you must go to a good school.
It is true, that the next LDs come easier, but it doesn't necessarily mean you get them more often. The point is, you don't have to put that much into it, once you've had like 10 of them.
You should only WILD during the weekend, since WILD eats about 1.5 hours of your sleep.
