      Death and after life.

Well, I just had a very interesting dream where I died.

It started out with me experimenting with an alien device that seemed to work as a weapon of some sort. I took it out of a tube like device and it was a small vial of green colored liquid. I kept on trying to figure out how to use it. Anyways, (keeping that part short) I showed the device to my mom. I did something wrong and it started to react. I knew it was going to explode and I think I said something along the lines of "oh shit". I watched it begin to explode. Before I knew it everything was black. I felt a strange warmth and then a floating feeling. I felt like I left my body.

I woke up in my house again. I knew I had died. At this point I checked to see if it was a dream or not. I did this several times and every time it seemed like it was real. I was convinced I had actually really died.

I won't go on with the details of what I did exactly because it was very long. First off, when I tried to do anything I would do when I was lucid it did not work. Also, it seemed I knew some things suddenly. I knew why I was where I was etc.

Apparently it was sort of like heaven. What happens when you die (in the dream) is that you go to this heaven sort of place. You then either stay there and are allowed to do as you wish or you wait a undetermined (to you) amount of time. You wait that time and then are sent back to earth with a new life. You forget your past.

I was one of those people of course. Anyways, throughout the dream I ran into relatives and the like. Some were staying while others were heading back like me. I was talking to other people for quite a while asking questions. What was so interesting was that I kept thinking it was real. I mean it was like I was lucid but just thought everything was real. And when I tried to use any powers I was not able to. Also, never before in a dream have I died and not woken up.

I noticed that my dad or brother were not there. They did not live in the area so they would not have been affected by the explosion. My sister lives only 5 or 10 mins away.

Oh yeah, when you blow up in a nuclear like explosion you only feel something for a millionth of a second so it is not too bad to go that way.

After I had died I asked my mom of grandma was there. She said she was and told me her age was 88 if she hadn't ever died. That would make it somewhere around 2018.

thats a really interesting dream, and i think you shouldn't underestimate its value.
There are a lot of reports (im reading a book of studies edited by Laberge with such reports) of dreams that are more like visions; really profound ones in which you learn a lot about yourself, the way you work, and the world around you.
Could it be like that? Does it reflect in a way your belief or predictions about death and the 'afterlife'?

I have no beliefs. I do not know what happens as I die.

That dream sounds pretty cool. You don't seem to have ever felt desperate after you died. Of course I knew that I was dead yet I still existed somehow, then I would be calm to, I think....

It would be more of a transition than an end...
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

Yeah, by distracting yourself and thinking about other things...

I understand that feeling, for I have felt it many times myself. The only thing is that you must know that it is not eternal, it will only last one lifetime. When you and all your friends that participated in those glorious moments have perished, then it will be as if they never came to be.

Their importance lies in what they teach us, and in the fragile moment of time in which you reminisce and rediscover that feeling again. But nothing more...
