I had an interesting experience this morning.
I always told myself, "Why the hell would anyone find SP scary if they know they are gonna LD?" Well, now I know. What happened was, I felt mayself waking from a dream in which I was in the back seat of my car with no driver and the car was driving off the road, I woke in a terrified state, to find myself half in...half out of sleep, so to speak. What happened next happened to me once before. I saw nothing, and then I kind of "Stepped in to" the sensation of tingling and within 10 or 15 seconds I could not move. I became absolutely terrified, because I felt I was in jellylike cement or something and could barely breathe. Sound went away, as I "pulled myself in" with difficulty, and I began to see labels on some sort of box. but soon, I lost my will or something. Did I come Very close to WILD with this? Should I have "held on" to SP for just a few more minutes. Is this this a good sign? I feel excited now, because in the past its been very difficult for me to induce SP.
Was this the DEILD (dream re-entry somethin' somethin')technique? If so, it certainly has potential I must say.
(Sorry If I've posted something simililar to this in the past, I just need some knowledge from the piples.

Yes I think you could have "deild". When I wake up from dreams (especially lucids) I'm half awake, half asleep. All you need is to....do nothing and relax......and....back to sleep, maybe a dream (and in that case it's highly probable it's lucid)...

Thanks for your feedback. Yes this is what I thought I should do, yet when it happens its hard to not gwt to excited or doubt yourself. When It next happens I will try this.

Sounds like you almost made it. I guess you'll get better with practice. I can't really say, I haven't had many of these experiences yet.

The same thing happened to me, I always thought SP would be worth it in the end, because it results in a lucid dream.
Then I got terrified when it first happened and I backed out right away, now I'm just like "bring it on" :P
It sounds like you started a DEILD and didn't finish it.

yes you should always hold on to your SP in attempt to gain lucidity. I think of it as a gift. It's a very affective tool for lucid dreams. When I have SP I always imagine I'm rolling my dream body out of my real body. It has always worked for me and after I rolled out it was always into a lucid dream. I know SP is scary for most, but after I realized that it was just a natural thing the body does I stopped being so scared and just went with the flow. After that all the scary hallucinations stopped. Even if you do still hallucinate you wanna try your best to remain calm and face the fear so you can get to your lucid dream. Remember all that scary stuff is just a dream to and you are still in charge.Oh yeah and it did sound as if you were either going into a different dream or maybe perhaps re-entering the other one.
