If this isin't thread worthy or in the wrong location, feel free to relocate/lock this.
Anyway, there is this thing I can do while waking up or falling asleep, but usually in the morning very late in the process of waking up.
It's basically when I'm 98% awake, can think and move clearly, and could jump up out of bed any moment I choose, do somthing I call an Advanced Daydream.
I can really, extremely clearly and crisply imagine myself being anywhere or in any scene I imagine, put anyone there, make anything happen. I can fly or transform or do anything else, except the sensations arent there like they would be in an actual dream, only the visuals and sound. Also, text doesnt change when I double take at writing like it does when I'm in a dream.
I can't really have any significantly rewarding sensations/experiences while doing this, unlike an actual dream, its basically just like a daydream, but in really high definition, and with "independently generated" behaviors form DCs, if you can call them that.
When I'm in a state where I can do this, I'm ususally so awake that I'm highgly unlikely to fall back asleep, but if I do, I'll usually have really "deep" SPs or false awakenings.
Also, I dont need to prepare myself at all to do this, and these usually end with my thoughts wandering to somthing trivial like giving my dogs their medecine.
Can anyone else relate to this?

THIS ISNT THREAD WORTHY THIS SUCKS, LOCK IT!
Lol, j/k man this is a great topic dont worry.
Sounds to me like you have a Very vivid imagination. You should prolly be a inventor/engieneer/or artist lol.
I can have pretty vivid day dreams also, normally in church or school :-P
I dont think they are as cool as yours though becuase i cant control stuff, and often things repeat like a skipping disc and i cant stop it and thats anoying (i cant ctrl my own mind  )
Anyway, i guess i kinda know what yopur saying.
these things i dont even get excited about though, they are nothing compaired to a vivid Lucid dream, ohhhh baby.
Its great to have you here, finally a new person who ISNT making a topic about somthing in the TOTORIAL!!!!
(j/k Lol becuase i did that too, errrr)

I can only get really vivid daydreams when I'm just about to fall asleep. I can remember being on the toilet once and I was so close to falling asleep every so often I would start to fall off the toilet but then I'd realize it and correct myself. While this was happening I think I was having Hypnogogic imagery, but I was able to control it somewhat. I remember one image was this guy who would bring out tools from behind his back, and I was able to start changing what he would bring out to different objects.
I had to be really tired for this to work and be as vivid as it was though...

It sounds just like normal day dreaming to me, save the fact that you're in bed.
If you concentrate hard enough on what you're in visioning then you can enter that state you described. It might be different for everyone but I find it easy to perform it like I'm reading / writing a book. Go into detail about the textures, the warmth of the sun, the expression on the face of the object(s) of your day dream, ect. If you rush over small things such as this, then you lose the dream like quality of your mind, where nothing is as vivid, and you'll start to repeat situations that have already happened or get easily distracted in your own musings.
That's just my own experience of course...

I'm a total daydreamer. My imagination is at its best when I'm moving around though (like if I go on a long walk, that's perfect). I find myself pacing back and forth at home a lot as a result... ugh...
But anyway, as far as the bed thing goes, I think it's just that you're more relaxed, which makes it that much easier to daydream. Like back in university, I was most relaxed in class, so I could let my mind wander :D.
