Lately my lucid dreams have taken an interesting turn for the better, in terms of clarity and overall sense of lucidness.. If that's the proper term.
The last two times I have had lucid dreams they've began as normal dreams, generally hazy, somewhat blurry, non sensical, almost rehashed memories of events of the day, the past, songs I heard etc... Then at some point during dreaming something clicks and it all stops and I am standing somewhere looking at objects and my vision is 20/20 and I feel a strange euphoric feeling as I continue to just stare at these objects and examine them. It is while this is happening that I realize I am lucid dreaming and I take note of just how amazingly clear and clairvoyant everything around me is.
Then I feel as if I have gone past the boundaries of whatever fabric could possibly be holding my dream world in place and everything turns black. I am in the middle of a darkness. There's nothing around me. I'm neither falling or going anywhere. All of the sudden green hills are generated around me and I begin to move forward. And then I feel like I am falling out of a lucid dream and everything feels as if it is reverting back to a dream of nonsense really where whatever happens, just happens. But at the same time the dream takes on a more storylike aspect to it and I encounter things that seem out of this world, as if I am on another planet.
I always wonder if lucid dreaming can actually lead to astral projection. And if maybe I have projected myself elsewhere. I dunno. Something I always wondered.
And does anyone else ever lucid dream and see other people and walk up to the people in their dream and try to examine their faces? I do this sometimes and I notice the people I encounter in my lucid dream look a bit like ghosts and their eyes are pure white and they look kind of dead. But they're moving etc. Whenever I do this I always try talking to the person and I tell them my name and I say to them "we're dreaming, I want you to remember this when you wake up."

: ) that nice how you help the DC's improve their dream recall, in case they are real people.
This turning into black when you are on high level lucidity is a theme I noticed in several reports. I find it very interesting, and what you encounter after you reach this stage, could be something beyond normal dreaming. It's like our dreams are made of many levels, once you clear the first, illusory level, by reaching high level lucidity, it's like curtains being drawn aside, and you enter an area beyond normal dreams.
Some speculate that this is a deeper part of your subconsciousness, and some believe that it is a higher astral plane.
