Well, I first got into LD'ing for the sex. Then it was fun to blow stuff up, fly, screw with people, ect. Now however, my goal is to explore the dream world. The whole concept amazes me. I especilly fascinated by the way the world changes as you progress through it. Although I'm not giving up on the other things.

Just felt like sharing.

nice one its good seeing people having lucid dreams for other reasons rather than the standard most common ones, i myself have a similar interest to you, sex was what i started lucid dreaming for, but exploring the dream world is just way cooler, i want to learn more about my mind, yeah its cool to fly and have sex with some hot girl, but exploring your mind is by far the coolest thing, but thats only my opinion, good luck with your goals though

I got into LDing for sex too. But I haven't got enough of it yet so I'm gonna stick with that for a while ... Then I'm going to "Explore The World of Lucid Dreaming"

Good goal . The dream world is so... amazing. The mind can come up with some absolutely incredible places.

In case you couldn't tell, it's one of my favorite things to do, too

That sounds like a fun goal. Exploring the dreamscape is one of the most entertaining aspects of lucid dreaming for me. Lately I've started picking the brains of my dream characters as well, asking them what places in my dreams should explore and the like. It's always amazing how much they 'seem' to know, once you ask them.

My main reason for starting was exploring. I've explored bablyon's hanging gardens, the titanic wreck, and orbited the earth as well as a few other not so interesting places.

I keep a list of everything that I want to eventually explore in a sticky on my computer:

Explore redwood caponies
Explore Giza
Explore a comet
Go to the moon
Explore Mars
Fly through the clouds
Fly through the amazon
Explore the grand canyon
Explore underwater caves

Am I the only person who got into lucid dreaming to explore my subconscious mind and the amazing places it's able to create in an instant? I find exploring my dream world and figuring things out about myself much more fun than the reason many many other people got into LD'ing for. Godlike powers are always fun too, but exploring the world of my dreams right now is an amazing experience. For anyone who reads my dream journal, I usually don't use my powers, even though I have them, and can do anything on demand. I like to figure out why I was dreaming about the current scenario. As it says in EWOLD, don't just leave the mountain you were climbing and do whatever it is you wish when you become lucid. Continue climbing the mountain, and figure out why you were climbing it in the first place, there must be something at the top that you were working so hard to achieve. It's like climbing everest and then saying "Ah, who cares. I'm gonna go do something not as boring"

Well, personally, I really wanna do the simple stuff first. Flying, blowing stuff up, moving super fast, beating people up... The philosophical stuff can come later.
I can be a Lucid Master... In my dreams.

No you aren't... me too.

I the other night I had a non-lucid, but very clear, dream in which I had to get from one part of town to another on my bicycle (which I do often, sure beats driving when the weather's nice). The way the streets all lined up was very very different then the way they do in the real world, but as I closed in on my destination (I asked some DC's for directions, and they were ALWAYS right) my mind found a way to make the streets match up. I've been some pretty cool places in my dreams, but exploring new streets that are only a few miles away (and non-existant in real life) was fun.

Non-lucids drive me crazy, I seem to let the weird stuff and locations slip by unnoticed, but then when I do something perfectly normal I do a RC.

The biggest shock for me is the moment you confirm you're dreaming. Realizing that everything you thought was real a few minutes ago was created by your brain. Wow. And normally I do use my "powers" a lot, but I almost never change the scene. I "alter" the plot for lack of a better word. To use EWOLD as an example, I would still climb to the top the the mountian, but there would just be a lot of flying and sex. And fire.

The more I had LD's, the more my goals changed. Slowly.

I would have done some exploring last night, but in my LD I got possesed and paralyzed. I didn't know how to deal with it and I woke up.
