If you do too many RCs, can it be counter-productive? I've been doing an RC literally every 3-5 minutes each day, but I don't know if it can be considered "too much".
You should do multiple RCs sporadically throughout the day. I say 10 times per day sounds like a good number, in addition to performing them any time something odd happens. As long as you are sure to focus on the meaning of the reality check each time you do a reality check (and not get into the habit of performing them automatically), you should be fine. (If you don't focus on the 'why,' then your reality check inside your dream may fail without you noticing!)
Have you been having any problems yet? have you had a LD yet?
What's important is that you do them when you see something that makes you think your dreaming.
I haven't had an LD yet, but that's because I just started Friday.Quote:

I make sure to look at the meaning of my RCs. I ask myself "Am I dreaming?" and I perform a check. I then think "The check passed, therefore I am not dreaming".
