      Rather Sedate Dreamer

      Hey all,

I was just wondering, does the fact that I have sedate, non-eventful dreams mean LD'ing will be harder for me? A lot of ppl here seem to have awesome dreams in which they are flying, fighting monsters etc. Mine are usually talking to ppl and being in relatively normal situations (albeit a little weird). I find the most vivid ones I'm having are the unreal ones - like being stuck on a cupboard kilometres in the air.

So what are the implications of...boring dreaming???
And is there a way to make my dreams more exciting???

I have boring dreams all the time and I lucid on average once a week. So no, boring dreams does not mean that you will have a hard time getting lucid. When you hear about the flying and fighting dreams, they are usually experienced lucid dreamers who have control of their dreams.

I've had dreams where I've sat through class. The way to make your dreams more exciting is to practice dream control when you get lucid.

Take a look at mine and other people's dream journals, you'll find some pretty boring stuff in there.
