My girlfriend remembers her dreams every night and realizes shes dreaming all the time.. but the idea of taking control and making it "Lucid" seems ridiculous to her--> "Why would I want to do that?" What should I tell her besides it makes you feel like your a God?
Here. I'll give you a simple solution.
You don't need to try to talk her into lucid dreaming as if it were a sales pitch. You really don't. Whats the point? Insead, just share experiences with her. You say she gets "lucid" all the time. Perhaps she's an avid semi-lucider such as myself and would prefer an interesting story rather then total control. Find out. Talk.
Share your experiences. Tell her some of your really interesting dreams. You could say "Well... its fun.... fun... uh.... i dunno....." or you could simply try to show her the merchandise intead of trying to deliver a sub-par sales pitch =D

No I'm not trying to talk her into it as much as just make her realize the possibilities. But she makes a good point saying that she doesn't want to change her dreams because: "I don't want to change my fate."
If there were any philosophical dilemmas to be dealt with in LDing it would definitely relate to the control versus non-control aspect. (About which I would have a thing or two to say) Anyway, thanks for the advice.
From what I've read, it seems like she doesn't want to LD because she believes her dreams are connected with reality, like her mind, fate, etc. Maybe she's afraid that by toying with her sub-conscious, she's messing with something that shouldn't be messed with?
The only way I can think to deal with something like that would be to talk with her about it, rather than simply trying to persuade her. Maybe you should talk more about it with her, show her this forum, all the people here who LD without any "problems"?
I think simply giving people idea's is enough for them to try it out eventually.
If she is aware it's a dream, then she may even tell a story, but It seems it's usually guys that are obsessed with the power thing. ( Suck for me to not lucid at all anymore. :( ) - Of course thats stereotypical, because some Girls will also experiment in lucid dreams.

What people don't realize, is that fate is what will happen to you, and you can't do anything about it. So if your fate is to learn dream control, you will learn dream control. You're not changing your fate by doing it, you're doing exactly what you were bound to do all along.

Not sure I understand. If she is aware she is dreaming - she must have some level of control - even if its only of herself (and you don't even need to be lucid to control yourself in a dream). How is making conscious decisions altering fate or even 'interfering with the sub/unconscious' (which may be what she is concerned about)?Quote:
