Lucid without content
:D For more advanced lucid dreamers...a question.
So, lately I've been having this different kind of lucid experience. I wake up into the dream, fully lucid, but there's no sensory content. No sound, no vision, just my awareness floating in this endless black stillness, and my own thoughts. It's a very pleasant state, and yet there's this little voice in my dream head struggling to make something happen, for content to appear. It doesn't, though. So finally I just let go and float until I wake up. I still feel energized and amazed, even so!
I wonder if this is a lucid failure--not enough consciousness to produce a dream scene--or actually a kind of lucidity in dreamless nonREM sleep itself, which I have heard is pretty much impossible to achieve. I don't believe that it is the latter, myself, although I think that would be amazing.
I should add that I really am not motivated to have specific lucid experiences or perform lucid tasks anymore. I've experienced just about everything I have wanted to in my lucids more than once. Perhaps this is why this is happening. I don't set goals for myself anymore.
Anyone relate?

With the whole blackness thing i could maybe try and explain it, if i'm thinking what your thinking, think of it like a blank canvas and its waiting for you to create the painting, creating your own visual world with your mind. Your mind is the brush, now use it. Well maybe you could just try creating a basic scenery and go from there, get some motivation and inspiration, watch a good film, play a good game, read a good book, listen to some good music, go out on a walk, anything that can give you inspiration which will then in equal give you motivation to continue, theres plenty more you can do in lucid dreams, just put in the effort and mess about, you may have done what you want to do but i'm sure there are tons of other things you could do, visit a different country, pretend your meeting everyone on the forum in a big gathering, release you own album, buy the best car in the world, anything can work out, from now its up to you for i can only offer ideas. Good luck

I've never experienced a black void, but I have experienced a bright wall-less infinity with floor and ceiling.
Have you tried spinning?

Yeah, I do suffer from a lack of imagination sometime
