Flying in the dark ... ???

I used to have lucid dreams about 10 years ago. I was able to fly each time, went over the mountains, saw beautiful sunsets, feeling the wind in my face ...
Anyway I just got back into lucid dreamings last month, reading my Stephen Laberge book again. I had 2 lucid dreams since, but both ended up the same way: I am able to fly, but it is all dark !!! Last night (June 2nd' 07) I had my second lucid dream, I flew away and all I could see was gray clouds. I had the whole flying sensation but without the sight.
I decided to let myself fall backward. The feeling in my body was great. But I would really love to be able to control what I can see.
I read some controlling your dream being the next step from attaining lucidity.. any advide to get there fast (actually to get that skill back) ?

Just use your mind! Believe that if you fly under the clouds, there will be a dreamscape. Then, fly under the clouds, and there should be a dreamscape!

Thanks for the quick reply !
Last night I tried to fly above the clouds and it got me nowhere. Not even the stars. I will try to go under next time. Hopefully I won't crash ...

try to call up a sunrise. make sure its a slow sunrise too. let the light slowly seep into the world.

It's your mind... don't think about crashing! Or you might... :shock:. And even if you do crash, the worst that could happen is that you wake up, right?!
