seconds away from body falling asleep?

I was wilding last night. i sat there for like 40 min in my bed. i had some calming music on. the music sounded like you are on a beach at night time. with some whale sounds. well anyway. my fan was on also. i started to meditate. calming down all the major muscle groups down i let all the negative energy flow off my body. so i was read after that. i started to concentrate on the blackness. then the HI started. of course i started to have one little itch onmy face wich was one of the reasons i stoped but not the total. well i start to feel my legs disapear. they dont become paralyzed but they are numb. then my hands and i guess my whole body felt like that. i layed there like that and look at the HI in my mind. and the pictures and animation that appears too. all of a sudden my breathing goes rapid without me controling it. i start to heat up and sweat a little. my arms felt really weird because it sorta felt like my spirit was moving out of my body. but only in my arms. and of course i still have that itch. and i hate overheating so i pulled myself out. before i pulled myself out though. i felt like my conciousness was going crooked or somthing lol.

oh and i got mad after that because when i pulled myself out, my brain was way way way to aware of everything to go to sleep.

interesting. I tried a WILD yesterday and I started doing something similar. My breathing got really short and quick and I started to feel very hot. It was very uncomfortable and I couldn't stand it so I had to pull myself out and take a deep breath.

Is this what happends as you go into WILD or was this something else?

of the times if tried/succeeded/nearly succeded, i never experienced anything like that before.

i think to get further you need to try and not concentrate

thats how i fall asleep is when i start thinking of random stuff instead of falling asleep

This has happened to me several times and it always makes me come out of it, for the fact I am not controling my breathing anymore yet I am conscious is something I can't handle. I think this happens because I am too aware. Most of the time when this happens I just turn over and go to sleep, and still become lucid...

The first time i hit sleep paralysis...i was really awake...haha, it was great!!

The itching you experienced is referred to as the "cobweb effect" in the Astral Projection treatise. Try "brushing them off" next time. Eventually, if you harness your ability, you'll be able to ignore them completely.
