Hi guys, it's me. I have been dealing with many major big shits in my life, growing into manhood(:o) and all. But I was yanked back into my LD'ing interest by a small gift from my subconcious last night.

I dreampt I was with some former sadistic teenagers I met in a different country(this actually happened), and I wondered to myself, why would I decide to come back where these kids are? I must be dreaming!, Moreover, I found myself breathing underwater, only possible with a high pressure tank of gas given in SCUBA classes, soon, I found myself very deep in the sea, when everbody else was drowning I knew I could live, and soon transported (my first real exertion of control over the dream) into my bed on my way to waking up. An enjoyable experience really...

However I have a question: please let me know if you've noticed anything similar: Does anyone wake up with a slight memory in the morning of "pushing" themselves back into a dream. The reason I ask is because I seem to be able to "bring myself back in" (sometimes) when I'm exhausted, and to continue the dream...But when I conciously try, I find it nearly impossible.

Who is this guy? lol jk, though we spoke recently it's glad to see you back on here :) I think i can agree with you on that one, i think it was my third lucid, i lost lucidity but i was drawn back to the normal dream i became lucid from, however i was trying hard to stay lucid, glad to see you back though :D

Yeah, that often happens unfortunately. I wasn't aware the whole time, but it occassionally hit me. Eh, at least I enjoyed it.

I think the only thing to do is repeat it to yourself, "im dreaming" but that may take some of the fun of surprise out of it.

However even when I forget after becoming lucid it seems to be possible to tell something is not quite right.

Anywase on to your question. I am able to do that in the mornings when i wake up from a lucid dream; if i feel the dream fading, as soon as i wake up i don't move or open my eyes and am able to slip right back to wherever i was and continue the dream. You're right though, the key is to not give it too much effort, kind of have to just feel your way back in and not force it.

You are quite the correct human.

Effort to a point works, but I think it can become detrimental to trying to lucid dream after it becomes "un-fun" or not enjoyable. In moderation everything can work, but you just have to trust your brain.

If you believe you can LD you can, just think of it like a movie screen, see what your brain will show you tonight, and think of it like a puzzle, "I will be in control of my brain and will remain aware".

Anyway, just some ideas, thanks for the imput.;)

Sometimes, I cannot tell if I've even returned to my body when a lucid fades. I'll just stay still, in darkness, and hope that I'll go back. If it lasts for more than five seconds, then I know the sleep cycle must be over. With these occurences, it's hard to tell if I've DEILDed or DILDed (as if it was only a dream transition, it would be a DILD. If I was really out of the dream, it would be a DEILD. But how can I tell if the transition feels the same as waking?).

What I really hate is when the dream suddenly cuts out before I remember to grab hold of something/rub my hands. D=

I used to be able to push myself back into a dream when I woke up in SP all the time. Can't do it anymore. Sounds like you've got a talent there. Try develop it. Wish I could do that.

but yes, I'm going to try to get back in touch with my dreams, since they've taken the backseat to everything else recently.

I believe though everyone has some sort of power over their dreams no matter what they think, and you may be lucid several times a night without even knowing it. I sort of have faint memories of lucidity where I'm not quite sure, but hey, it's fun to think about anyway...
