hypnic jerks and LDS

I don't know if a thread so this has already been made, but I'm doing it anyway


For those of you who don't know it, hypnic jerks are this funny thing you; eg. when you are really tired, and have a semi-dream while still semi-aware of yourself. Since you're not in Sleep Paralysis yet, these semi-dreams usually make you move in real life and wake up because of that.


Hypnic jerks were really frequent when I was a child: I would dream I I was waking, then for some reason I would fall, and the adrenaline of falling down would wake me up in fright

I wonder if these hypnic jerks can be used t oattain lucidity, and if so, how different it would be from a normal WILD?
