oh yeah, i had that fear once. but its just like waking up in the mornings, (suddenly you just wake up). you can also concentrate in opening your(real eyes wide open, or closing your dream eyes. most likely you'll just slip from the dream, and wake up. over time you'll have more control in getting in and out of dreams
it would make for a good book though...maybe ill sell the idea to Stephen king
No I have never had that fear before. I would say it's pretty much near or is impossible to happen, so I wouldn't worry about it. Also I think it's not that hard to wake up in your bed if you really want to or need to by thinking of your physical body and trying to move, blinking or giving yourself a big shock, like slipping off something.
That concept was in the game Oblivion actually. It was neat concept, but you could die and stuff, which wasn't cool (it was for a game).
Don't worry about it though.
Fear? That would be a blessing. Well now I think about it, if you were in there for too long that would be pretty terrifying. However, no need to worry because the chance of that happening is 0.
well i dont know. i mean what if you died in your sleep and stuff?
I have. Like that guy who lived 100 years in 2 hours inside an LD. Imagine if you did that accidentally and couldn't escape...
Have a Lucid dream and have sex. lol That will prove to you youll wake up,
(probably only funny to fellow experienced dreamers. lol)
There's no reason for you to be afraid. I wish I got "trapped" in the dream world a little longer... And it's a lot of fun there, so being there for a while wouldn't hurt! :p
You can't get trapped in a dream, because you'll eventually wake up. But sometimes it might seem that a dream lasts for months or even years (never happened to me, but I heard about it) but in reality you were only asleep for eight hours.
It is possible to be trapped in a dream your whole life. It is called schizophrenia.
We label that behavior as insane, but what they see and ear is real for them… they just can't wake up.
You won't get trapped in a lucid dream, unless you die in your sleep and we could go on to the theory that death is just a whole lucid dream, a bit like "vinillia skies" without the freezing bit.
Actually thats only true in your case. It seems thats only your mind thinking it cant feel anything in your dreams because you can. I can feel pain and pleasure in dreams in diffrent deggres. Ive had orgasms in dreams that come out of nowhere and some self induced....on topic anyway I have no clue why someone would fear forever dreaming. I have had thoughts on when you die do you just enter an enternal dream state. Maybe we are preparing early for when we pass into the great beyond.
I have heard about this so called "being stuck in a dream world". Didn't someone on our forums have an experience where they carried out an entire life in another realm?
i havnt had that fear before and i dont think i will because i no were i stand in my dreams i no i can wake myself up
Anybody have any shots at this? When I think of getting trapped in realistic (lifelike texture ;_; ?) LDs, The Day The Scientist Went Out To Lunch is always what comes to my mind, but unless I forgot what some of it said, Serinanth was never stuck there for a whole alternate life... the dream was just so real and so uncontrollable that it felt as real as real life.
