      Dream discussion. and Dream Yoga

HOWDY.. Does anyone know of any good Dream Yoga resources BESIDES Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep? I have this book and read it every day, but am just looking for a little more. Also, if anyone has any good dream yoga practices that they wouldn't mind sharing it would be greatly appreciated!

On a somewhat different note. I recently started my own dream yoga training, and have yet to have a lucid dream (that I remember) but last night in one of my dreams (which I wrote down in my dream journal!!) I met my brother outside of a movie theatre. He was telling me that he had found some supplements (like sports enhancement supplements, like one might buy at a GNC) for enhancing dreams... He didn't get specific. Then a little later in the dream I see him again except this time he has a White bottle, with a white screw top, about the size of a litre of milk. This is the dream supplement that he had told me about.. I open it up and there are several of those plastic safety gaurds under the cap. So i peel those off until the last which I just peel back far enough to see inside the bottle. Once I do, I see large, purple, kinda oval shaped pills with a horizontal notch in the middle. They smell like vitamins... I'm real excited about this and reseal the remaining plastic barrier.. And the dream ends!!

So does this mean anything? Is it good to be dreaming about dreams? Thanks a lot for any responses about either topic!

Hey there. Welcome to Dream Views if I haven't already pounced on you.

I don't know anything about yoga but in regards to the white bottle and the pills, perhaps it was vitamins. Some people take them before sleep to help with dreams and recall. I take a multivitamin before bed. Others take vitamin B6 or 12 about a half hour before sleep. Perhaps it's a sign that you should consider taking vitamins before bed if you already don't take them.

But be sure you read up on any suppliment extensively before taking them.

Hi Drake, This is the only other book I know of:
      http://www.amazon.com/Dream-Yoga-Pra.../dp/1559390077
A google search for "dream yoga" brings up quite a bit of stuff though:

      Hi,

One of the advanced stages of yoga is when you can LD at will. I believe this is what you are trying to achieve and basically it aims at mastering the WILD technique which is pretty hard. You can try some of the simpler techniques like RC and stuff.

Let the thought of lucid dreaming be a dream sign. Every time you talk or think about or prepare for lucid dreaming, do a reality check. (I just thought of that. I think I'll try it.) I have had several dreams where I thought about the idea of lucid dreaming but didn't catch the fact that I was in a dream. I have also questioned whether I was dreaming and written it off as a crazy thought, so I didn't do a reality check, only to find out upon waking that I actually was dreaming. That is always so frustrating. I think making the thought of lucid dreaming a dream sign is the answer to that. (Did you just do a reality check?)
How do you know you are not dreaming right now?

I found this thread by BillyBob quite interesting:
