Songwriting in LD
Hey, I'm brand new here. I've been studying the aspects of lucid dreaming for about a week now and it sounds awesome. I haven't been able to have one yet, but I haven't really tried any of the actually techniques (I'm gonna try a WILD tonight). I still had this one idea that I think would be cool to try and just was wondering if anyone here has tried it. I'm a musician and by that I mean I'm 16 and am studying to be a christian contemporary artist or worship leader (it's called wikipedia and google; I don't feel like explaining) Have any other musicians tried using LD's for creative aspects, like having a band full of top equipment or even hunting down a DC of your favorite guitarist (or drummer etc.) and asking them for tips. Heck even walking through a mountain with fire swirling around it for some nice imagery lyrics...you know without acid.

I'm a composer and write music in my dreams all the time. Most of it is lost when I wake up, but some of it I remember and write down. I have a lot of my music for download if you follow the link in my sig. The work "Five Unlikely Visions" was written to depict visions I had in late night hypnogogic states.

Well its possible to give you ideas maybe be a bit creative in your dreams but actually getting lyrics or solid ideas in a dream would probably not be completely possible, your more likely to think of something in a dream, play it when you wake up maybe on an instrument or what not and then realise that it sounds just like a song you've heard by another artist. You may find a bit of copying going on in your dreams if you try, its just a theory though, it may work, try it out though and prove me wrong, cool idea though.
