Questions about music and paralysis

Hi, I'm new to lucid dreaming, the only LD I remember was last month, and it wasn't my intention to have one. It was very short also (20sec) with no much control, only I knew I was dreaming.

I began reading about lucidity ever since, and have been trying WILD for 1 week . Still not able to LD.

I have some questions I want to ask about WILDing :

1. I am following the instructions in the tutorials; relaxing then breathing deeply and counting, and then I discover I spent two hours counting to 600, and I see no hyp. images or hear sounds. I am sleeping tired for 4 hours then waking up for 30 min then beggining the WILD process (while using ear-plugs and eye mask).

I want to ask: How the feeling of body paralysis really is? I mean, I don't even think that I'm reaching paralysis even!
Will paralysis make it very hard for you to move your limbs when you're awake? When I am giving up, it's easy to move my body. Will this mean I'm not reaching paralysis?

2. Will seeing dreamy scenes before WILDing, or listening to dreamy music while trying to, will that help?

Sorry for long questions. I would very very much appreciate your replies.
I will not rest until I have at least one LD using WILD.

I am a newbie at WILD, but I can tell you that if you don't fall a sleep for 2 hours, than you should probably reduce the time you are awake to less than 30 minutes, and possibly try to change your sleeping position ( maybe sleep on the side instead of on the back, ( I guess you may be sleeping on the back because this is what most of the WILD tutorials suggest ) )

I don't think you should necessarily expect to experience paralysis. I've only had maybe three or four WILDS (I'm more of a DILD/WBTB dreamer), and have only experienced a very short-lived paralysis once.

Don't think of paralysis as a goal. It is just something you should know about so you don't freak out about it if it happens.

I can only speak for myself, but when I experienced the paralysis, it was much like being heavily drugged. It was a state of semi-consciousness; I was aware of where I was, but my mind was very hazy. My body was more or less a dead lump.

You might want to go easy on the effort for the WILDs. Most people think this is the hardest way to go, and I never had one until I had been LDing for at least a year.

I have pretty restless sleep as you do. It's no fun to wake up a lot, especially if you were in the middle of a cool dream, but it doesn't necessarily mean you won't be able to go lucid.

Heres my explanation of the highlighted bold :

I experienced SP first time i tried WILD , it feels exactly like to me , you gradually lose feeling from you entire body , you feel like you can move your hands and feet like there floating, eventually you start to see weird white shapes and fusses , then your head feels like its getting sucked into something, then ur body feels like its sinking underneath ur bed. thats the furthest ive gotten , when i get to the sinking feeling i focus on that and it always screws me up , i find it really hard to just let it go with the flow.

ok i've had SP (sleep paralysis) but no WILD dream.
i can tell you what SP is.

when i first had it, i was in school, thus i had more stress, and i had a bad sleeping pattern which was like, very unpredictable (and i was a long sleeper, about 12 hours for a good sleep) . when school started i would sleep at like 2 in the morning, then wake up for school at 6:30, then taking a nap when i got home at 3 in the afternoon. sometimes my mom would like yell at me for napping in the afternoon and wake me up -----

the point is, i had a very unpredictable sleeping pattern, which led to less REM sleep which is the sleep that we need. and REM sleep for me only came like after 6 or 7 hours of sleep or so.

after a while of deprived REM I guess it just snapped and i got SP. f**kin scary shit dude. i had that like 2 or 3 times.

now it the time i tell you what it is (finnally!!!)

ok, when you fall asleep, or enter SP, now what happens is you go into a dream, but this is no ordinary dream,

it will be like a dream where you are on your bed and you cannot move your body except for your eyes and mouth. also in this SP state you will be aware that you are in the dream and the dream will somewhat have a scary and fearful background, EX// like somebody screaming getting louder in your mind while you get frozen to the bed and cant move.

i remember it being MOTHAF**KIN SCARY. really it scared me out of my mind. this lasted like 10 seconds tops. belive me you will know when you get it.

Paralysis sucks. And if you've never experienced it you'll probably hate it... You CAN'T move. You can try as hard as you want to, nothing works. Usually you panic, and if you're lucky someone might be nearby to mess with you in this extremely vulernable state (I've had to deal with a negative entity in this state---not fun). I can't even scream when I deal with sleep paralysis, which is usually my first reaction--to scream as loud as I can. I always get a bad feeling too, like someone is robbing me or aliens are attacking me or something.... but I know people who have dealt with paralysis for years and can't get used to it. It just sucks... especially when you start hearing noises and you realize there is nothing you can do except try to calm down. The last paralysis episode I had I thought I was being abducted by aliens (the first thought that pops into my head consumes me) and then I had a feeling I was being sucked out of my body... But anyway...when you have paralysis you'll know it.
