Nothing can bug me more in the dream world when I wake up and say "aww it was just a dream!" I have had (non-lucid) dreams that can seem to last hours from my rememberance, since I have good dream recall. They can feel so insanely real, and last for such a long time. I was just wondering if you guys also get those vivid dreams that seem so real. When you wake up all you can say is "Woahhh.."

I met my perfect soulmate in a non lucid once, she was the nicest person ever, and the dream seemed to span over a longass time, and then it was over, and I woke up to being single lol:mad:
One thing I love is when you're dreaming about something bad (like going to school even though it's summer or the apocalypse) and then you wake up and realize it was just a dream and that you still have several months until you have to go to school or there's still five years until the apocalypse.

Yeah I hate that. I always have dreams where I walk into a shop and buy loads of chocolate bars and food and I wake up before I get to eat it. Drives me insane.
Sometimes I have dreams and wake up and think "thank god that was just a dream" though. I had a dream my arm fell off once and I was fairly relieved when I woke up and realized I still had my arm.
I hate it to death. And especially during the day when something triggers my memory of the dream, then I'm like "What the fuck!?"
Haha thanks for the replies. And yeah, I also agree that it can also be relieving to wake up from a dream if it is bad, but I'd say most of my dreams are nice and pleasant, lucid or not.
yeh iv gone one better, i was having the best dream ever and i thought i'd check to make sure it was real (i was convinced it was real) and i done the finger counting rc and i had lots of fingers and realised it was in fact a dream.
Things that upset me are Non-Lucid's where something amazing happens and I wake up mad because it wasn't real or Non-Lucid's that are so horrible and I wake up with relief because it wasn't real.
I hate the feeling when i wake up from a dream i'm really enjoying, but i suppose that with all lucid dreaming and stuff i'll easily be able to go back to those dreams when i'm a better lucid dreamer.

Not all dreams are like that. Some dreams can be very low-grade, and since in normal dreams, we don't always control our actions, and we don't know we're dreaming, so when something bad happens (i.e. being shot) it can be quite scary, and you think you're dying, but when you wake up, you're quite relieved.
I know exactly how you feel, you have this little spec of information on the dream right at the back of your head and you reach out for it and it slips away, gone forever, its so annoying, especially when you know for sure it was a good dream worth remembering.Quote:

yeah, those 'dammit that was a dream!' and 'oh thank god!' moments are wierd, but i hate when you dream about trying to lucid dream, and then have a false awakening, and think 'wtf, i could have had a lucid!' and then wake up for real, and be like, 'aaaaaaarrrgghh, im so fucking stupid!!!!'
this happens to me surprisingly often.

I hate it when I have a dream where there's tons of hott chicks, but I didn't do anything to them because I wasn't lucid.
I always do "something" with them, regardless of lucidity. :p
Actually, I rarely have dreams that make me go: "Awwwwwwwwwww!!!". But I have "Thank **** it's only a dream!" days more often. Like when I had a dream that I was being hunted by Pennywise the clown from It. Or when the grudge ghost came after me by climbing up from the garden soil.Quote:

I remember that school effected my vividness of dreams and it is a lot easier to practice lucid dreaming and to go on this forum durin the summer! I hear ya alucinor.

Yeah, that's why I prefer nightmares over good dreams by far.
This happened to me about three days ago. I was with a friend of mine on a date. Everything was very dark and mysterious and we kissed for the first time. It was one of the most incredible dreams I can remember having. When I woke up, I wanted to just jump back into the dream..
I hate it when I am LD'ing and its time to wake up!
I often wake up and am GLAD that it was just a dream.
Dreams about friends/family dying, bf cheating on me, finding out I have some illness, etc. Pretty much all of my RL fears come out in my (non-lucid) dreams :(
If I do have a good dream and wake from it, I'm pretty good at re-entering it when I fall back asleep.
