So quite honestly, I'm kind of on a dry-streak when it comes to lucid dreaming, or even doing exercises that develop the ability. Regardless, I had a dream that really sparked my curiousity last night. The dream itself was nothing fancy, I was just in a car, looking at pictures on facebook through my dash (now that I think about it...man that's weird). But all of a sudden my buddy next to me said, "Dude, your phone's ringing, pick it up.". I then rolled over in bed, now awake, and answered the ringing phone on my nightstand.
I was wondering, could this be considered as a personal breakthrough in creating the right conditions for lucid dreaming? Reason being, now that I think about it, I did some stuff right. I was at a buddy's house last night drinking until 2am, then fell asleep peacefully. I woke up at 8am, drove home (took about 10 minutes), then fell asleep comfortably in my bed. I don't know, but that kind of sounds like WBTB if you ask me, haha. With regards to the dream though, it really felt like I was so connected to the dream realm upon awakening in my bed. I didn't even feel a transition, or a state of questioning between being in my car, and rolling over awake. Is that what people are talking about when they say, "Let your body fall asleep, but not your mind. Hang on to a thread of consciousness while drifting to sleep..." ???
Thanks a lot for your input everyone.
