RCs failing in reality?
this happened to me a few weeks ago..just thought itd interesting to know if anyone else had this..just for fun
but I awoke in the night..which is unusual for me...and i looked at my digital clock and it had 0 numbers..pitch black.
i went to hit my lamp switch and it didnt work
was i dreaming? i went to check where my lamp and clock were plugged in and everything was fine...i check my room light too and that was busted too
luckily...my fone worked....and the breathing RC passed....so i worked out it wasnt a dream
but the next morning I found out we'd had a housewide blackout :D
lucky i didnt try to fly out a window
anyone else got anything like this to share???

Something similar's happened to me too. I woke up in the middle of the night and looked at my digital clock, and the digits were flashing. This kinda freaked me out, but I did another RC and I wasn't dreaming. We'd had a brief powercut in the night, and the clock stops at when the power went out, so the time was wrong too. :D

This is why we always, always do a physical reality check.
-
No, we always, ALWAYS do multiple checks.
Luckily that's never happened to me, but I've always made sure I used a variety of checks at once.
-
Ah, that's great. xD
But yeah. Nose RC never fails. Unless you're breathing out of your mouth.

Actually the exact OPPOSITE of that happened to me;
I suspected that I was Dreaming ( I was) but had a little trouble concluding it. I checked my lamp if it worked; it didn't, all other lights in the house were dead too; I figured we had a power out in our house, but the strangest thing was that I heard the PC's fan running while the screen was black and turned off.

How wierd, I was just about to post this exact topic. Ater taking a long walk yesterday I ran into people I havent seen for years and seeing people who resemble my friends. Then I got to thinking about RC's and what it would be like to experience this. I would imagine that it would be like having schizophrenia or something like that. I suppose for me I wouldnt have a very different reaction because I still get excited when I am dreaming... just wonder how crazy I would go if I knew it was reality.

Yeah, always, always do multiple checks, even if it doesn't make any sense.
I was lucid and dreaming I was on this two-tiered balcony above the cloud cover, like on some rooftop surrounded by clouds, and I thought to myself, "Wow, this is a great opportunity for flying!" But then I think, "What if I'm not dreaming and I just jump and fall to my death?" so I check my hands and they have these blue tattoos and designs all over them, so I run to the ledge. Then, just as I'm about to jump, I hold my nose and check if I can breathe. I can, and then I jump, but just before I fall, I go ahead and check my hands again (in midair!) and realize it's definitely safe to go flying.
Sounds stupid, but what if I wasn't dreaming? :O

Well you are on a two tiered balcony did you ever question how you got there from being asleep? Haha as for the first post that is quite crazy I would of hated to see you on the news haha.
