You feel completley diffrent in a dream than in reality, even in a lucid dream. Sometimes this feeling is what giving me DILD. Ive heard that OBEs and Astral Projection feel real like real life.

Reason you don't fully remember dreams or sometimes you don't remember them at all is due to you're "Shadow memory"

The way I understand it to be in astral projection is basically the point your conscious goes back into the "Physical Reality" that split second determines whether you remember what happened or not. It's like you're brain is trying to download the memory back to your actual conscious mind.

So it's like if your shadow memory doesn't remember then it's like you've never had the dream. Thats why it's best to train yourself to keep your eyes closed when you first awake and to not move. Just sit there recollecting everything that happened in your dreams for a good 2-3 mins.

Well, Dream Recall is indeed necessary, especially for DILD

Dream Recall is used in order to find dream signs, to recognize the dreamstate, for self-affirmation (MILD) and mostly to remember your LD.

If, in the LD, you don't wake up by yourself (e.g. you lose lucidity during or after the dream) it can be hard to remember as well. Losing lucidity is actually more likely with DILDs, so Dream Recall is really important.
