      Rabbit Holes

Hey guys. I know I don't post a lot but I've told you before that I read a lot of your posts. And I try to throw in a comment if have much knowledge on the subject at hand.

So I have a question for you all if you'd be so kind. I've been having a lot of dreams lately where I'll realize I'm dreaming sort of off and on and then wake up into another dream. Lots of false awakenings. The thing is, these dreams I've been having lately are often a dozen or more false awakenings in a row. Same thing over and over - I'll realize I'm dreaming, but have very little control, then wake myself up and I'll think wherever the next dream starts is where my waking life actually is. I often wake up in a chair or bed or on a floor and so I logically think to myself, "Oh yeah, that's where I was sleeping. Cool, now I'm awake." But then things get crazy and I realize it's another dream. Many times the dreams get more and more intense the more false awakenings I have. And the only way I can actually seem to wake up is if an alarm goes off or someone wakes me. I've nicknamed these dreams - rabbit hole dreams. It's like going further and further down the rabbit hole, often times it gets scary so, much like Alice, I really want to just wake up.

So really I have three questions associated with this: Do any of you have these types of dreams on any regular basis? If so, what's the best way to deal with them (as I said they often get pretty intense and sometimes quite freaky and I wake up sweating a lot)? And my third - could this just be a phase I'm going through right now? Like, do I have too much knowledge of LD's yet I'm not focusing on it enough so I'm sort of getting caught in the in between? Also if you have any other info or opinions on what these are, pray tell. I'd love to hear your dream views!
Just a friendly reminder to do a reality check. : ) Are you dreaming? How do you know?

I have never suffered from such a thing, but if I were you I would take advantage of it. The most important thing you could do is perform a reality check every single time you wake up. Become accustomed to do this, make this the first thing every morning. By doing this you will always know when it's a dream and when it's real. Then you get to enjoy a great amount of the ever sweet lucid time...
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...
