Sexual Lucid Dreaming: With or Without a Real Life Erection?

In the book CONTROL YOUR DREAMS, the authors speak of a study done with men and women, who had lucid sex in a dream and their bodily reaction.

If I remember correctly, the woman showed real biological changes that occur from having real orgasms, however, the men did not (ejaculate.)

This got me thinking about the physical body and sex and lucid dreaming for myself.

I for one always have an erection if I'm having a lucid sex dream, yet I don't think I've ever had an orgasm in a lucid dream (or any dream) - the feeling of it all becomes too much, so much that I wake up in real life and that's the end of it.

My question for the community here then is two-fold, and is directed at the guys:

      1) Do you ever have lucid dream sex and NOT have a real-life erection at the same time?

      2) Do you ever have lucid dream sex that results in a real-life orgasm i.e. ejaculating?

I find it so hard to believe that men can be having intense lucid dreams where they're having sex and NOT have an erection in real life.

This is also interesting in the sense that very few lucid activities in general carry over into a physical body; for instance, lucid dreams about fighting or running rarely lead to you moving your body even half an inch. You can dream about swinging your arms a million times a second yet in reality be sleeping on top them.

      Looking forward to the responses,

      Ben

I'm pretty sure an erection occurs anyway- with or without an LD of any sort. Hence the expression "morning wood" Not to be derrogetory, but I awake with one after each REM period. Laberge speaks of this as well.

Seconded - can't remember a time when I woke up from REM and didn't have an erection.

This is something that's always confused me though: when you're losing lucidity in a dream, they always tell you to focus on the details and get as much sensory stimulation going as you possibly can to strengthen the dream. So why does having sex, which is extremely stimulatory, break off the dream rather than strengthen it that much more? I guess it's a question I wouldn't need to ask if I've been there to try it.

I never ejaculated when having lucid sex I do have an erection though. My lucid sex dreams are quite long though I trained myself to stay calm during its and enjoy. Maybe it cause I watch alot of porn and have fun before sleeping

Just echoing what the other have said, nocturnal erections during REM are commonplace.

And for the second question, no I haven't, ever.
