Cool way I become lucid without even trying!

Last night i was thinking i was in this house with all these hot girls which was a nice thought before of all of a sudden i found myself in the house lucid, i was like wtf. It lasted for about 15 mins until the waking up thought emerged, i tryed to block it off so bad cause it was such a good ld i really didn't want to lose lucidity but i did, and i also forgot to remind myself i could have a fa so i didn't check, so inevitably i did. I appeared in my living room with a few people i used to go to school with and i was telling them about my ld, if there was any doubt that the waking up thought wakes u up there's not now, it happens all the time. I think i might start to use this way of becoming lucid more often now.

So basically u could imagine yourself in any place in the world with anyone u want, thats pretty awesome.
Does anyone else use or has used this way of becoming lucid?

I'll be sure to try it :goodjob2:. Do it again tonight and see if you can consistently do it every night or if it was just a coincidence.

I read ages ago on this site that somebody said he could ld at will by thinking he was on a boat with his girlfriend and then it would become an ld like my ld. I think the key to it is to try to stay concious going into the dream.

It seems like WILD while deliberately trying to visualise a dream. I might try this tonight, sounds quite promising. :)

There's a guy on ld4all who makes these courses. Doesnt get mentioned around here but one of his guides is using a constant dream environment. The Pdf itself is here
It's called paradiso. He also has a few others called infinty and lucid warp. He puts a lot of effort in, and it's free. He's a good lad. His site is http://www.dreamport.net/ i suggest looking at his other courses, just means registering on his forums.

Don't you just hate it when you JUST started into a dream, then you realize you're dreaming then wake up?

There's the unsung method of 'thinking yourself into the dream'. It does work, but it's unreliable I think.

It was after about 4 hours sleep, and it certainly beats the boring wild technique!

No and i never left my bed.

if u can manage to use this technique and gives you LD occasionally then i would say it would be a technique , if it happened once then u can call it a fluke or just got luicky

I'll try it the next few nights and see if it brings positive results. I think it's about trying to stay concious while your body falls asleep, a bit like wild.

Well that guy who said he would think he's on a boat with his gf and then become lucid he said that worked for him 100% of the time which gives me great belief. If this works it will be simply awesome!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that the MILD technique?

dont think its mild, he didnt dream that and picture becoming lucid, he just pictured that and apeared in the dream.

I don't picture becoming lucid when I mild, I just visualize a room or something that will cause me to do a reality check (I always put an RC on the wall.)

Yes it is a very common way of inducing a Lucid Dream actually.

It's called VILD. I've done it aswell, but never on purpose. I was like, in my bed, and then I started imagining myself biking. I got super-powerfull HI, that I could interact with, and suddenly, I was in a lucid-dream. It ended quickly though, due to a false-awakening.

I do this all the time. Its called "Chaining"

I basically go to sleep and when i wake in the middle of the night for a couple of seconds i dont move and i visualize myself back in the dream i just awoke from and after a fews seconds the dream absorbs me, and now im in a dream.

Yes, that's DEILD, that's different a bit different. VILD, is when you do it when you go to bed, or after a complete WBTB.

It's not VILD because that involves a rc but it is very similar, and i also didn't have any hi in my experience. It's not chaining because thats when u re-enter a dream.

I tried last night, if My mind was awake more I probably could have done it, I fell asleep in about a minute.

Just like any other technique, you can variate VILD. I didn't do a reality-check either, in my VILD.

Alright, here's the deal. Last night I pictured a boat ride and The boat moved in a very stead motion. I muttered things out loud occasionally, and I thought to myself every few seconds, "Am I sleeping?" and then I'd do a reality check (even though I knew I wasn't) and finally answer "No." That didn't seem to work too well-- I wasn't getting to sleep.

So I tried it again, with a slight variation. I was on the boat, and so was my girlfriend. (We weren't doing anything, by the way.) I layed down and just enjoyed myself and felt good, concentrated on the smooth motion of the boat, and then I pictured falling asleep, and slowly I actually did, into a lucid dream.

Anyone want to try this technique? I'm gonna try it tonight.

Did a few nights ago. Woke up, imagined a riverbed and walked across it, keeping the image clear and visualising in first-person view. Suddenly I realised that the movement was no longer animated by my minds eye and that I was walking.

How long did it take to become lucid and how often have you had success with this technique?

Did it twice and it happened very fast. Though, I think it's just a form of WILD.

I'm gonna try this tonight but i haven't decided whether to go with the boat scenario or make up my own.
