      Thumbs up Ld dream incubation

Has anyone ever used dream incubation to induce ld's? I'm going to try this and i'll post the results.

For example "Tonight i will dream i am in california and i will become lucid"

I've tried incubating dreams with mixed success... I thought of a more specific dream than you mentioned in your post, though. I thought "I'm in a medium-sized room with white walls and a door, and on one wall there is a big sign that says "ARE YOU DREAMING?", then I do a reality check, and become lucid then walk through the door"

I left the rest of the dream undetermined because hopefully by that point I'd already be lucid so I could do whatever I wanted. I just repeated that scene over and over, trying to actually see every detail about it, imagining the reality check and how it would show I was in a dream.

I never actually had that dream, but I did remember to do a reality check in two dreams, and became lucid both times. I had a false awakening during the second, but I did another reality check and became lucid again for the rest of the dream.

I am going to try incubating dreams again sometime, even though I never had the actual dream, because I did have some success with remembering to do RCs and I almost never have 2 lucid dreams in one night.

Good luck and let us know how your try goes!

I should have figured that out giving your username and all.

I'v read up on ld incubation and this is the tutorial.

1.) Write down your desired dream as if it's already taken place noting you achieved 100% lucidity, this way it convinces your mind the dream has already taken place greatly increasing your chances of ld incubation.

2.) Fully visualise your dream using all your senses and make sure you picture yourself becoming lucid.

3.) Repeat your phrase before sleep

Tried this last night, no success. A semi-vivid dream but no lucidity. I'll give it another go tonight and report back though.

Don't give up it may take a few nights, u have gotta 100% believe it's gonna work erase any doubts u have. Also it's best to keep it simple when starting, like trying to dream of a particular person, place or event, keep the phrase simple.

yes what you said is right but no need to write anything down. As long as you keep focus on what you want to dream about you'll be fine. I remember most my Lucid Dreams occured while i tried incubation. Really helps alot because you become aware that you have achieved a desired dream. I myself recommend incubation because it helps alot becoming lucid though in some cases you have failed to meet that place you wanted to incubate, atleast you gain lucidity.
