Hey there, i'm a member now after lurking for a few weeks!
Do you all think that actually posting on this forum helps with your lucid dreams? I dont mean reading the tutorials etc but just generally being a member here...
I think i realised i became lucid last night, but i got too excited and tried to just move into the different dream which i wanted all together, rather than changing the current one? if you get me? ..and then i just woke up..Tsh!

I find the forum helps me with lucid dreaming in quite a few ways. Helping out people reminds me of things do do with lucid dreaming keeps things fresh in my mind and posting in the forum keeps me thinking about lucid dreaming a lot in the day. I find times that I'm more active here, I tend to have more lucid dreams.
Well if you are posting that usually requires to read the topic in which you are posting in so it is killing 2 birds with 1 stone. And when you write information (Valuable Not Spam) you also think about what you are writing which can also be a form of memorization which can also help. So yes I think it does help.
Yeah i'm thinking it'l help me too. I just need to create a dream journal now. Do you think its better to hand write it or is it ok to create one on my laptop?Quote:

I find a handwritten one handy as I can quickly write in it when I wake up, so I don't forget my dreams. Sometime as well as that I'll post dreams here too, though that depends on how lazy I am on the day.

Your first few dreams simply act like a tourist in a new place.. go sightseeing and take in all the different colors and sounds. Do whatever is easiest for you to "keep doing". I keep an open small memo pad with a pen sitting in the spiral binding next to my pillow. When I wake up from dream, I don't turn on the lights, nor open my eyes.. I just reach for the pad and start writing.Quote:

Some people just write snippets of their dreams.. others write paragraphs, some put images, or feelings, others draw pictures.. whatever helps to bring a dream back to you when you read over it the next morning is appropriate.
Please just know that there is no right way (or one way) to journal about your dreams.

I suppose it could since I have dreamt of going on this forum. Haha although it has never triggered lucidity for me, it could very well help.
Seeing others' reports, questions and tha tcan be really helpful: maybe you have doubts about the exact same thing. And if so, the replies will surely help you.
I say this because I'm struggling for some good time with WILDs and reading others' topics really helped me.
Also, you can make a thread yourself when you're not sure abotu something. Which again is helpful.
But I still believe yo ulearn better by teaching (oh the irony)
The forum does help, although I have been doing LD's for a long time, finding the forum gave me a fresh look at how the LD community has grown.
The many methods available in the tutoral have provided a new learning base to add to own 'book' on LD'ing.
I have even begun to think about DV in my dreams, I take the time to write members names on the LD walls, that will give me a place to return to, and hopefully other Dreamnauts will see that graffitti and leave a message.
When you talk about LD'ing with members, it gets your mind working in that direction, similar to dreaming about school so cause we've all been there so much. Talking about your LD experiences and goals with everyone will help you to remember what to do when you LD.
