So if u falled a Rc in dream world u'll become aware of " u r in a dream"
no?
if yes----> why? i mean in dreams we can see things very unusual but we juz go along the play ignoring it, why wouldnt Rc the same? does it "unlock" something in our mind when we do a Rc?

The thing with an RC is you are already aware you are dreaming, the point of the RC is just to confirm this. So technically you are already lucid when you RC.
The point of learning to RC is not so much to actually do one in a dream, but to repeat the circumstances in which you question reality and become lucid. The RC itself is a confirmation.
Reality Checks are just that, they check reality. Check reality for what? To see whether it is false or real of course. A reality check can only be used if you are aware at what is going on and want to see if you are dreaming or not.Quote:

This is exactly what happened to me last night. I was so determined to get a LD but I never got one because I missed a really obvious RC. My friend was looking at porn on this computer we had at school (Its strange, he is horny in real life too :P). I looked away and looked back again and the website had completely changed without warning. Actually as I recall it now the second website was just a background layout with no content. I only realised this in the morning and I was like "oh f**k, my first reality check and I screw up -.-".Quote:

The main ideas behind reality checks are, that if you do them whenever something strange happens, you'll do the same in a dream. Also, you may just randomly remember about RCs in a dream, and if you're used to practicing them, then you're more likely to become lucid and stay lucid.
Exactly - So for example if you do an RC everytime you go through a door or something, if you do this in a dream and try you will hopefully become lucid after failing the |RC :D
The reason a RC is important is simple...it is kinda odd to say to yourself "am i dreaming?" when your awake, because its a rather ridiculous question. And since you never ask that about yourself when you are awake, your mind in turn, won't ever ask that same question while you are dreaming. The RC is there to simply start conditioning yourself to frequently question your state of reality. Once you start continually questioning that state of reality in real life, it will hopefully become habit for you to question your state of reality in a dream, unlocking LDing!! the scenario goes as such:
during the week your walking around and everytime you walk through a doorway (the doorway was brought up earlier so we will stick with that) you question your reality and state "am i dreaming?" preform a RC and find that as you predicted, no, you of course are NOT dreaming. You repeat this step many times during the day for a few weeks with the same outcome EVERYTIME. Then one day you walk through a doorway, question your reality, asking yourself the ridiculous question, "am i dreaming" and notice things actually do seem a little off, but you don't know what is it. You then preform your RC, and, OH SNAP, you can't read that clock on the wall, or you fingers pull back much further then normal, or the light switch won't turn on the light. AND IT WILL HIT YOU LIKE A TON OF BRICKS, wait a sec, i might actually be dreaming, a few more RCs later, and it is confirmed that you are, infact dreaming, therefore allowing yourself to enter into LDing
its not really the RC that is important, the RC only confirms that you are, indeed, in a dream...preforming RCs are intended for conditioning your mind to continually be questioning your state of mind, to continually be asking yourself "am i dreaming??" hope that helps bro!!

I mostly become lucid without ever questioning i am dreaming... i might count the fingers on my hand afterward just to be sure.
I had a weird RC last night, after doing RC's throughout yesterday, I did one in a dream. Everything was normal though, nothing out of the ordinary, but just doing it made me conscious enough to realize I was dreaming. That's how I had my first LD.
