Relearn and prosper
Hey there guys. my name is Nic and i have been into lucid dreaming for about 2 years now but i have some problems... OK when i first got into it I read all i could find and practiced a lot and I started having lucid dreams. about 2 or 3 a week. but that slowly started to fade due to lack of trying and reading.
Now i want to start again. But I have a problem.. I can't hardly remeber any of my dreams now. what do you guys think I should do? Would intense reading and studying of lucid dreaming boost my mind back to where it was before i left off? Should i start meditation again? Thank you for any answers guys. The reason i stopped trying as much was because I would become lucid but I would not be able to control my dreams as well as i wanted. i would just be concious but i could not really control it. but i think that was because of lack of practice and study.

Use a dream journal and you will remeber stuff again really fast. I have the same problem, some times I get kind of lazy and my recall gets bad, but I write down a few dreams and it helps me remeber them again. Some times I go for weeks where I only write down a few dreams. I forget a lot of my dreams because of it but I still remeber all the lucid dreams and interesting dreams just fine.
Don't have to go overboard with it, just write down what you want. Writing down one dream a night will help you remeber them pretty good and be enough to get lucid. If you write down every detail of every dream you will start remebering like 4 or 5 a night and they will be really clear, though its more work.

Well I know what you mean about lack of trying. My dream recall has diminished and my lucid dreaming has stopped. Determination, journaling, Reality Checks, and practice are key. Yeah it looks like I need to take my own advice! Good luck and welcome to Dream Views!!!
