Interpretation Input pleeeeeease....

okay, so I have a reoccuring dream lately with the theme of my stepdad planning harm to me or my family and only i know about it and i plan escapes. i wake up or the dream changes before any escape or harm comes.

also, in last night's dream, i was swimming in a deep, natural pool of water and someone yelled "shark" so i pulled myself up out of the side of this pool with the feeling that a shark was about to snap at my legs. i made it out in time. i looked back and couldn't see a shark, but knew it was there... lurking.

later in the dream there were a lot of people (people i don't know) swimming and gathered around this pool of water that was also connected to a stream and some shallower parts. like a public swimming hole. the sharks were abundant and i was sort of an unofficial lookout. i saw one shark, really small compared to the size a normal shark would be. this shark was special. it could swim above the water about 2 feet. i knew this and kept trying to stay on higher land but there didnt seem to be much and i kept losing my balance (i have an inner ear infection right now that is bothering my balance - so that may explain this part). i saw the shark go across the land ridge i was on, towards the people in the deeper part, and i yelled to warn them. they didn't seem alarmed.

the main feeling of the dream was slight fear but mostly fascination with outsmarting and observing the shark. kinda living on the edge.

there was a lot of water in the dreams to follow. specifically swimming pools. and a lot of me trying to sneak through people's homes to get away from a bad guy. the homes were in the way of a shortcut i was trying to take, so i had no choice but to go through them.

at one point i told a lady in her house that this was my second attempt. a semi-lucid dreaming comment.

it was an almost lucid dream. almost there!

anyway, your ideas, not definate "this is what it means", are welcome.

YOU are you only one who can interpret your dreams. there are no definate "symbols" like "water represents _______". some people can however tell you different things it could mean to you, by i myself am not very good at it. i wish i could be more help.

I try to look for commonalities in dreams to look for patterns and things maybe my subconsiouse is trying to tell me. It seems your dreams all involve warning people and the other end not responding, or knowing something important that know one else knows. You also seem to have plans devised in all dreams for escape...The rest I think is like parper doll says is personal and maybe only relates to you and hatherefor hard for other people to read into.
If I were to have those dreams I would make a guess that people around me dont value my opinions or ideas. The element of paranoia would make me think I'm also unsure of myself and my actions and direction in a given life situation.

You may have read in the news two days ago about the 13-year old surfer prodigy in Hawaii who had her arm bit off by a shark, and this made an impression on you spilling into your dreams...

i hadn't heard about that surfer (and that really SUCKS!!)

but i had watched a dream that had whales in it.

I often "watch" my dreams too... I also have had many dreams with whales in them wher I seem to speak to them telepathically. Swimming in the deep ocean is like flying in deep space, only it's not as cold (at least in my experience). Whales are fascinating creatures. I often wonder if they're more intelligent than humans.

Wouldn't be saying much...

If you are going by scientific measurements (relative size of brain to body mass) whales are not more intelligent than humans.

That doesn't sound very scientific; actually it would mean that a guy with a normal-sized head and a really tiny body would be the smartest person ever.

specially when they run headlong into a sliding glass door and walk it off like they meant to do it.

Also a more accurate mesurement is the EQ or ensephalization quotient... I butchered the spelling...

Its a measurement of the convolutions of the brain, seems the more there are the smarter animals are... also self aware, put a mirror in front of a chimp and it attacks it or tries to play with it, sometimes over long periods of time, they come to realise its just their reflections, Gorrillas picked up on it faster... Bottlenose dolphins figure it out almost immediatly, they try looking at parts of their body they cant normaly see, it was funny to watch this, they also put a spot of a fingerpaint type stuff on the dolphin and sure enough they would go right to the mirror to check it out.


Humpback whales and bottle nosed dolphins ave high EQ's comparable to humans. You dont need all that scientific crap though... Just watch and listen to them, you might learn something =)
