      Letting Your Mind Wander...

      I'm pretty good when it comes to concentrating. I can sit for hours without becoming overly restless, etc.

      However, my mind does often wander when I'm not concentrating... It's like a dream in that I don't really have control of it, and it happens pretty quickly and subconsciously. Just wondering if any other dreamers get the same thing?

      The example in question was today in my German exam... I finished the paper with a load of time to spare and was just sat there. All of a sudden I could hear an alarm then another noise then the alarm then another noise then the alarm then I saw a ginger cat, before I realised what was happenning.

      Maybe I'm just crazy. 8)

      If you are awake when it happens and your eyes are open, then it could be hallucinations, I think.
      Humans are probably more likely to get hallucinations if they for instance don't get enough sleep.
      Are you sure you get enough sleep during the night?

      Someone in here posted a thread saying that we dream all the time, but we are only aware of it during the night.

      I agree with it, and IMO you are experiencing something similar.

      Same thing happens to me sometimes. I close my eyes and "scan" my

      mind for images. Often I "tune in" some channel where I'm seeing

      random, but very detailed images rapidly changing. If I stay in this

      channel for a long time (cant really sense time while concentrating on that

      channel), I become absorbed into it...
