What music plays in your dreams?

It wasn't a lucid dream, but I clearly remember having the song Yellow Ledbetter by Pearl Jam playing in the background of last night's dream. I didn't realize dreams had soundtracks. What songs have played in your dreams?

Oddly enough, Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries" seems to play whenever I fly in a dream.

Whatever CD I happen to be listening to while falling asleep is usually what is playing the background.

I wake up with random songs in my dreams all the time, but they never are playing DURING my dreams. Though that's not a bad idea...

I woke up singing the song 'Peaches' by the Presidents of the United States of America...I was singing it in my dream and woke myself up, to find that I was indeed actually singing it. Not well, mind you, but I was singing it.

The middle section of progressive rock epic "Yes - Awaken" after I died in a dream. (I have a thread on that bizarre dream)

A few classic rock/progressive rock tunes in the background in typical/normal dreams.

A thing I never heard which I ended up playing it in the piano, recording it and using it as an intro to an 8 minute long song of mine. Several times, I heard completely new and very complex and interesting rock/metal, though my insufficient dream recall, laziness at the keyboards, and low "ear" skills stopped me from pulling off a "yesterday" (beatles song claimed to have come from a dream)

When I manage to lucid dream, I'll try to conduct an orchestra (:

      That song rocks!

Yeah, I've woken up many times with a song stuck in my head, but this is the first time I actually remember it from my dream. I wonder what happens if I find a cd player in a LD and turn it on? I'm going to try that.

Well, it wasn't the entire song, but one of my first WILD experienes, I used the song "Happy Datys", accompanied by the spinning record image, to reset my dream when I didn't like the way it was going. Don't know if that helps.

The song most recently being played in my dreams has been
' In Joy and Sorrow By HIM.'
Its an amazing song , and it has a nice warm feel to it.

A while ago the alarm on my phone was some song by The Shins, but that wasn't what I heard in my dream. When the alarm goes off, it starts out soft and gets louder and louder.

I was dreaming about a church, and an angel was flying upward. It was flying towards a bright light, and the colours were beautiful. On the background a choir started singing in perfect harmony, their voices becoming louder and louder. The light was getting brighter and brighter as well. Just as they were about to reach the climax, I woke up. The song of my alarm translated into the singing choir, it was pretty cool.
How I discover what my dreams are about

In my last lucid dream I made pink sparks between my palms. I was trying to make a white ball of energy...

It's quite rare for me to have music playing in my regular dreams, though I like to get some going when I'm lucid. It tends to be orchestrial and 'fitd' with the events of the dream.

I tend to listen to alot of non-vocal music so I get lots playing in my dreams.

I comes and goes but will pretty much always play when theres action going on.

I write music, and often if I've been working on a piece for a long time, it starts to really haunt me in my dreams. I've had a couple of occasions where it becomes a soundtrack for the entire night through multiple dreams!

I love dreams where I actually create new music. Sometimes I have an entire orchestra playing something completely insane. Night before last I sang a little song in a LD that I remembered when I woke up:

Thats pretty neat skysaw, when i manage to have some better lucid dreams i think i'll summon some music for inspiration for some compositions because it could really help me out with my school work when I get started.

It's a shame I don't have a piano here, I'll give playing this a go when I get home on Saturday night. I'm curious to hear what it sounds like.

It's funny for me, I listen to lots of music, but it rarely shows up in my dreams... I rarely ever find a radio or stereo in my dreams, though last night, a song that started with "cerra" I think it said cerrapece [exactly like that] played on a song list. I didn't bother to check out the other songs though... I do get a lot of background music in game-style dreams.

And once I had to listen to Miyavi songs [I was at a Miyavi concert], but otherwise, nothing I like ever plays in my sleep.

This thread reminded me of a long-forgotten dream of a tree that made delicate chimimg sounds when the wind blew through its leaves.

I wake up with songs in my head all the time, sometimes present songs and sometimes past songs, (some i forgot about) and some my mind has made up.

I think the songs u wake up with in ur head are messages from the sub-conscious, pay attention to the words of the song.

Before last night i hadn't had a dream where a song is in the background and when u wake up it is still playing. But i read this post yesterday and then that night i had one.

Perhaps my sub-conscious wanted to put it right.

Haha that'd be awesome. One of the great trombone parts (especially the bass).

I remember having "Voices" by Dream Theater in my dream once because they were playing it in a Walmart. The band name really fits that situation (except it was a Walmart not a theater but IDK why there was a stage in our walmart anyway).

The French horns get the spotlight in that piece.
