While in an LD can you go back to sleep and have another one inside of your lucid dream? Would this bring you deeper into the unconscious mind or enhance our abilities in the dream state?
This happened to me but I wasn't having an LD at first. In my dream I went to sleep and became lucid. The dreamscape was quite... more dreamy than my normal dreams. I think that this would merit some research thou
I think it would just waste valuable LD time, you can't get any dreamier than a dream :p.
Yes it's possible to have a LD then go to sleep in that LD wake up into a LD do some stuff and then wake up in the previous LD you just had. If that makes sense.
i like your sig brandon lol "want a hot dc's phone number?" lol
but anyway yes, its possible. I wonder, since you can do anything in a lucid dream, including having a lucid dream in a lucid dream, could you lucid dream into a lucid dream where time is distoreted? could you, in your lucid dream, make it possible to distort time if you have a ld? would you have more control, since your are lucid dreaming in a lucid dream, where the whole universe is in your mind? wow. this is tough to think about. makes my brain hurt lol
Yes it's possible anything is possible.
Yeh i was thinking of phoning that number and see who answers, and about lding in an ld thats the most confusing thing i have ever heard.
Hey there,
Not sure I follow. What'd be the point of trying to induce another Lucid dream within a Lucid dream. Since you're already lucid, why not simply change the dream you're having? And how would it be different from say dreamspinning or walking through a dreamportal or whatever method people use to change the dream around them?
To me, what you're suggestion seems to have the more likely result of making you lose lucidity, as going to sleep and basically giving the helm to your subconscious again might well mean getting swept up into a normal dream once more.
Just my 2 cents,

I'm sure it's possible, since I do it the other way around sometimes. That is, I "wake up" from my LD into a false awakening, then realize I'm still dreaming... poof! Back to lucid! :)
It's like a double fail safe for instance. You are Lucid you fall asleep and then you dream of a Lucid so you are in Stage 2 of the Lucid then if you wake up from Stage 2 you go back to Stage 1 and continue the dream from Stage 1 then if you wake up from Stage 1 you go back to Stage 0 or the awaken state.
Funny this issue should come up on this thread.......... I just posted an account of this in another thread this morning.
I had this dream some time ago - it was prompted by trying out a technique from one of Casteneda's books;
I realized I was lucid and remembered his direction to fall asleep again, still in the dream, in the same position I first went to sleep in. The second dream was intensely vivid - far more so than a typical lucid dream - and had some freaky physical effects, but I got so excited by my success that I woke myself up.
So yes, you can have a 'double lucid' and judging from my experience it can indeed bring you deeper into the unconscious.
