How long does it take to write down your dreams?

How long does it take for you guys to write down your dreams after waking up? For me, depending of course on how much I can remember, it could take half an hour sometimes. I've remembered so much some times I'll just been writing about them for a long time, remembering other dreams in the process of writing of another one.

      Heya there,

For me: much too long. I remember on average 3-6 dreams per night quite vividly (I wake up at least once per night too), and I have to go to work in the morning, so having to write them all down would just take too much time.

Instead, I decided another method. I title my dreams. I picture the dream in my mind when I've had it, and let the first associations come. I don't 'chose' the title so much in that I let my subconscious chose it. Sometimes (most of the time), the title is obvious. Sometimes the title seems to have nothing to do with the dream. But usually, rereading the title later helps me a great deal in recalling the dream.

I only write down dreams which I find special in some way. That usually takes anywhere from a few minutes to 15-20 minutes for a single dream, depending on how much detail I want to get into.

Takes me about a half hour to record 1 LD, but I only record the ones worth remembering so it's not that much of a hastle.
