Proper time to MILD?
In one of Stephen Laberge's books he says to MILD when you're getting ready for bed.
Does that mean to do it when you're literally ready for bed, or when you're already in bed, and are at the point of drifting off?
I'm asking cause...lol....last night I was MILDing before bed...and as I was MILDing I noticed my cat acting strange...and usually when he acts strange like this it means that he wants to poop in the hallway instead of his cat litter. So after I did MILD I went to sleep, and after a couple of minutes, before the point of drifting/dozing off my last thought was, "I hope I don't have to clean cat poo".
LMAO, I ended up having a dream of me cleaning his poo from the hallway. Basically though my point is that I think I have to MILD and say my mantra when I'm at the point of losing conciousness, because if I say it anytime before that it won't work. Thank goodness for cat poo making me realize this.
I also read about this in an article which stated that the best time to use auto-suggestion is when you're about to drift off...cause you're in a trance type state, and the affirmation sticks in your sub-concious, or something like that. HOW COME NOBODY TOLD ME THIS!!! Lol, I feel dumb.

I believe you're supposed to MILD after you get into bed, perhaps after some relaxation techniques. After all, if you do it right, you'll repeat it until you lose consciousness, which is the same as when you drift off, you just do it more (which should help).

From what I've gathered, your supposed to start as soon as you get into bed (the autosuggestion and all) to convince yourself into waking up after your dreams. Then after the WBTB(s) you convince yourself to realise that your dreaming in your next dream.

Oh well, didn't work anyway. :bang:
