What you eat is what you are

Everyone must of heard of this statement some time in theyre lives. Although it is not given much thought as it's not easily recognisable...eg: i dont look like a pie and coke to say
I havnt reaserched yet but will soon.
I was thinking it applies to Ld also, as the brain must feed from what you eat, so certain foods inhibit different conditions inside your brain to have positive or negative impacts on your Ld progress, determined by what you call a positive and negative impact to yourself.

But after 5 minutes i thought it all comes down to the basix principles of matter sometimes ("Mind over matter") but in saying that i mean can food or even drugs for that matter only affect your dreams to a certain extent as the mind/conscience is seperate from the physical brain. Or is it more in the balance of what your body is using to fuel itself, producing all sorts of chemicals racing around, maybe emotions are 'heavier' to say than food on LD's.

      Any thoughts?
      n00bs i love you

well i know that eating a heavy dinner or meat before bed with cause your body/to be occupied digesting all of this so you cannot AP, so maybe this applies to dreaming, if the mind has to produce both dreaming and digestion then maybe the dream will be much more foggy.

I think some food can help to gain lucid dreams.

Here is a quotation from a other LD site:
      Lucid nutrition
There is lucid food around. It varies from mustard and pickles to lettuce and popcorn. I will mention a couple of things here. Eat or drink it about half an hour before going to sleep. Why it works hasn't been scientificly proved (yet). They have been forward by posters in alt.dreams.lucid, or have been mailed to me. Remember that this 'dream diet' doesn't have to work for everybody.
And don't try everything at once....

      milk and diary products
      pickles and mustard
      fresh fruitjuice
      lettuce
      popcorn
      fish
      icecream
      [/b]
      Are you dreaming?
