Firstly, I'm myself in lucids, however I am more confident and have no fear. For example I'm afraid of heights but I can just fly around anywhere.

Also ld, can you type with proper grammar please.

      Drasnus, that tone was unnecessary.

I'd agree with Adam and NeAvO-- at least in terms of the risks taken. I'm typically myself, but I do loose the sense of worry you'd normally have because you know that you're safe. However, I don't usually treat people differently in my LDs-- for example, if I'm in the middle of a conversation with a DC and lucid, I'll still feel bad walking away from them without a moment's notice, even though I know they're only a character. Some habits are hard to break, I suppose, even in dreams.

In my lucid dreams I retain my personality, though as others have said, I'm free of worries an obligations.

Tone? It was meant to come off bewildered.

I feel different in some way, almost like I'm a different person sometimes, even though I still have all the same thoughts, memories and feelings.

I feel like Im a completely different person. I make decisions that I wouldnt make in real life. I act out differently in situations. And I have no fear. But my personality stays the same, although my actions are different.
It depends on the dream really.

When i'm in lucid dreams and my normal dreams i am alot more confident, i feel on top of the world, i feel in control and i like the feeling i get, its like the exact opposite of what i am IRL, i'm really unconfident IRL and I never do some things, in lucid dreams i do everything and with confidence I love lucid dreaming!

I feel extreme confidence and power because i know everyone i see around me is below me in the ladder and the world i am in is mine, I am the god of it so to speak.

I also feel like i act differently in situations but i have the same personality (perhaps it's to do with the levels of lucidity).

I'm reading a book call "The Dreaming Universe" that explores that question a bit. I feel I am the same person with the added benifit of having no consiquences for my actions whatsoever.

And obviously everyone was able to read your message so what does it matter?

During those times that I am lucid during a dream I find I am supremely confident and fearless because I know that no harm can come to my physical body.

It's strange that even though u know that it is a dream that u still get scared in certain situations.

In some situations we don't know how to handle them, i mean if we were a lucid dreamer with little control in our lucid dreams and a dinosaur came along we would probably be scared because we couldn't wish it away due to lack of control. Its understandable for some reasons, there will always be things that naturally scare us in our dreams.

I am completely free in my LD's. I do things regardless of the consequences while in RL I am more careful and polite.

      Not at all.

I am a different spiritual entity while dreaming, and in a sense NOONE is themselves while they are dreaming, because your ego is dissolved.

I'm YOU when I'm LDing. And the things you do . . . how do you live with yourself?

No, I'm me, but with more confidence and defiance of gravity.
      LD Counter (as of 07.25.07) = 5 (2 WILDs)
Short-term goal: Recall three full dreams a night for a full week.
Long-term goal: Have three LDs per week for one month.
Longer-term goal: Have one six-hour LD every night! (Shooting too high? We'll see.)
Waking life goal: Round up some NPSG equipment to study my own sleep patterns.

as far as I remember... I'm not sure if I'm really myself because, sometimes i have confidence( i've already flyed, and jump down of a building) but some other times i really feel the fear. for exemple i often dream about bug, insects and stuffs (wich can also be my dream sign ) and when i dream about those i INSTANTLY wake up with more fear than i could usualy have if i see them in normal life. hm...i guesse here i talk more about nightmares. I hate when i dream about those.

Like most have mentioned, I feel like myself, though I can do things I wouldn't even think about doing (let alone be able to make myself do) in real life, since I know that my mistakes will cause no lasting harm. Also, my memory and decision-making often aren't quite what they are in real life, but I still feel like the same person regardless.
