I would like to conduct an informal poll. I have looked around and found that there are dozens of lucid dream induction techniques so I was wondering what is the best technique for you and how well does it work.
When first learning the easiest is DILD which quite frankly is accidentle. You can't completely control your lucid dreaming.
Later as you have more LD's, I would say the MILD would be easiest since it is a lot like a DILD.
As you continue, the DEILD or FILD come up next as they are a lot like the WILD.
Next is the WILD where you have complete control of when you dream.

Judging from my own experience and what I've read in this forum and elsewhere, having intentional LDs is part desire, part sustained application of one or more of any number of techniques, and part luck.
I think Castaneda's method of trying to find your hands in a dream is as good as any, but probably no better. It does have the virtue of being simple; you will always have hands to find in your dreams.
