Sleep paralysis. You will be able to breathe, move your eyes and facial features, but other than that, everything is paralyzed. It's part of the WILD technique. |

So I've read tutorials about LD and in every one there's "Your body will beccome paralyzed." So what does it mean? Will I be able to move my fingers for example or will it get completely paralyzed? |

Sleep paralysis only lasts for a minute or two. What most WILD newbs experience is the power of suggestion. They know that they aren't supposed to be able to move, so they (unintentionally) pretend they cannot move, when really they can. It happens to me, at least. |

This has happened to me. How long you stay in that state depends how much you try to move. If you try really hard to move. Your body won't. It just feels like you are stuck in a prison of your body. But if you keep trying you get yourself out of it in a matter of seconds with sheer will power. If you let it continue you can easy slip into a lucid dream from that state. |

I once had it when I woke up by a loud noise. I was sleeping in a room with many people and someone came in in the middle of the night and had this bell he started ringing. I opened my eyes and saw the other people stand up, but I couldn't move. One guy was staring at me because it probably looked weird. Luckily it only lasted 5-7 seconds. |

I've only had it a couple of times, and it felt more like my body was extremely heavy more than paralyzed. The weird thing is that I didn't know what it was the first time and it didn't scare me, probably because I was so tired. The second time however I felt terrified. |

"Why are you explaining to me how your lucid dream works? I'm just a figment of your imagination." -Smart ass DC
LD Tasks:
-> Have MILDs at will
-> Ask my subconcsious mind something deep (i.e. the meaning of life)
-> Have a fight controlling bullet-time
-> Call my cell phone and ask the DC who he is
I got paralysis this afternoon in my arm. It was awesome. My arm didn't move, but my "Imaginary hand" did, if that makes any sense. I felt my arm moving anywhere I moved it, but the real one was still. |
