Can't snap out of it!!
Hello Everyone :)
I just joined the forum and hope that someone can either give me some insight or advice?
I've been LD for awhile now and in the beginning it was really fun!! but lately I'm having troubles waking up/stopping the dream b/c it's just getting too wierd or I feel it is out of control. I try to wake up but end up in another dream. Today it took about 5 - 6 times before I really snapped out of it, and to be truthful it's getting scary. What should I do?? I feel so sleepy but I'm too freaked out to go back to sleep.

Well one thing you can do is look at your feet and then begin spinning, that usually changes the scene, but I don't know if it generally changes the theme of the dream (ie: happy, sad, nightmare, sexual, etc). One time when I tried to wake up by forcing my eyes open, I had a false awakening, then I tried it again and I woke up. Just a thought: One thing that I hear wakes most people up is some sort of intimate experience while in a dream state.

Yeah, listen to Death-Wuad's advice.
To make sure you don't have a false awakening, always preform RCs when you wake up so you know for sure whether you are awake or still dreaming.

if you can't wake yourself up the best thing to do would be what death-wuad said... change the dream... take control, either by spinning to heighten your awareness or RC's.

Fear is somthing that can snowball into somthing grater than it really is. Because your expieriances have fraked you out they have gained strength rather than you gaining strenght by taking control. " You were the pants in your dreams"!
