Now, if that doesn't make me lucid...

Well, last night I had dream that should have been the sure way to a lucid dream... I was in a big room with somebody else, and I tried to make energyballs appear from my hand (but only managed to conjour something like an ugly balloon :lol: ), and make lightning between my hands by rubbing them together, and slowly pulling them apart. Thought it could be fun to have a real "magicians war", with the other guy.
Later I watched myself in a mirror while I tried to grow horns from my head, and other wierd stuff.

For some reason I was aware that I could alter the reality by will, but even so I never thought about if it was a dream :? so it never crossed my mind to fly around (or any of the other stuff I want to try in a dream). It was pretty cool, and probaly something I would try in a lucid dream anywayz, but it just bugs me that I still can't become lucid when it's so obvious :-P

well, probably not much to say to this... just needed to air out my frustration :)

It gets frustrating sometimes, but keep up the good work! :goodjob:

haha, I recognize things like this, you can be tricked into believing that its all sensible so easy! Darn you, tricksy subconcious :P
I once did a WILD, succeeded but had a false awakening then went back to do a WILD in my dream and then had a strange dream you'd think even your stupid dream self would've gained lucidity from!!

The way I see things you have no chance of being lucid unless your conscious self is awakened, and with it certain parts of the brain in charge of logic and such. Otherwise, no matter how absurd the situation, all that is being expressed it the will of your subconscious. If you thought that you could control your environment, that was probably a subconscious manifestation of your desire to gain control in your dreams.

I guess you're right... my dreams are most of the time very bizarre, but everytime I really focus on LD (like reading a lot on this board), I almost always dream about stuff that should trigger my lucidity (word?!), like flying people and trying to use electric stuff that won't work. Think my subconscious is actually trying to help me, but I'm just to stupid to realize it :P

Don't get down on yourself...it is not as easy as it sounds. For example, today I remember having plenty of bizarre vivid dreams, and I only became lucid in one short one. I should have become lucid in all, since the events were pretty weird. In one of the dreams I was in an airport and my classmates back in high school all worked there. One was wearing the uniform we wore in like 3rd grade...it made absolutetly no sense, yet I wasn't lucid...
